The delegation offered incense and flowers at the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel National Special Monument and the Flower Wharf on the southern bank of Thach Han River to pay tribute and commemorate the heroic martyrs who fought and heroically sacrificed their lives in the 81-day and night war to protect Quang Tri Ancient Citadel in 1972, creating momentum for the general offensive to liberate the nation and unify the country in 1975.

With infinite sorrow, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong and the delegation observed a moment of silence and conducted a flower-dropping ceremony on the Thach Han River - where many outstanding sons of the country had heroically sacrificed to protect every inch of the Fatherland. Their blood and bones were mixed into the soil and the Thach Han River. Their names and achievements as well as the place name of Quang Tri were recorded in the nation's history as a brilliant milestone in the fight to protect the country's independence and freedom.

The delegation of the State Bank of Vietnam also laid wreaths and offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the National Martyrs' Cemeteries: Road 9 and Truong Son.

In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, the delegates observed a minute of silence and respectfully offered flowers and incense to commemorate the great contributions of the heroic martyrs, the sons and daughters from all over the country who devoted their entire youth and blood for the independence, freedom of the country and the happiness of the people, who are resting here.
