The Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly delegation conducted a thematic survey in Lai Thieu ward.

The survey focused on the following topics: the implementation and organization of central government policies and regulations on digital transformation; the implementation of Project 06; the reform of administrative procedures through integrated, online, and non-geographical processes; the building of digital government and digital society; and the functions, tasks, and powers of local governments at the commune level in Lai Thieu district.

Reporting to the working group, Mr. Doan Tan Dung, Vice Chairman of the Lai Thieu Ward People's Committee, said that the ward is focusing on implementing digital transformation; reforming administrative procedures to be interconnected, comprehensive, online, and without administrative boundaries, aiming towards e-government, digital economy , and digital society.

The working group surveyed the Lai Thieu Ward Public Administrative Service Center.

The ward has established a Steering Committee, issued operating regulations and implementation plans, reviewed digital infrastructure, and ensured the provision of online public services throughout the entire process; digitized records and results of administrative procedures to ensure the infrastructure for the Ho Chi Minh City Public Administrative Service Center Branch to operate and receive applications outside of administrative boundaries.

Lai Thieu Ward People's Committee also raised difficulties, obstacles and recommendations for the city and the Central Government to have solutions to remove, in order to create favorable conditions in resolving administrative procedures for people and businesses, creating momentum for local socio-economic development in the coming time.

Speaking at the survey, Comrade Nguyen Van Loi highly appreciated the results that Lai Thieu ward has achieved in the implementation and organization of the Central Government's policies and regulations on digital transformation, Project 06, administrative procedure reform, etc. After more than two months of implementing the two-tier government model, the operation of the ward's apparatus has been gradually stabilizing to meet the assigned tasks.

The comrade suggested that Lai Thieu ward should quickly incorporate the feedback received at the meeting to better implement its tasks and continue to improve its organizational structure, promote administrative procedure reform and digital transformation; it is necessary to innovate the methods of implementation and strengthen the support force for people in the digital transformation process….
