The Vietnamese Paralympic team had a spectacular performance, winning a "shower of gold medals" on June 7th at the 12th ASEAN Para Games.

On the fourth day of competition, the Vietnamese delegation won an additional 23 gold medals, 15 silver medals, and 19 bronze medals.
The swimming team had an explosive performance, winning 11 gold medals, with Trinh Thi Bich Nhu achieving a "hat-trick" and Vi Thi Hang winning a "double gold".
The athletics team also performed brilliantly, bringing home an additional 10 gold medals for the Vietnamese delegation on June 7th.
The remaining two gold medals from yesterday's competition went to athletes from the Vietnamese disabled chess team.
With this achievement, the Vietnamese Paralympic team has officially reached the milestone of 60 gold medals, exceeding the set target (50-55 gold medals).
Specifically, the Vietnamese delegation won a total of 60 gold medals, 52 silver medals, and 75 bronze medals, ranking 3rd in the overall medal standings of the 12th Para Games.
The top two positions in the ASEAN Para Games 12 medal standings are currently held by Indonesia and Thailand.
Indonesia is racing towards the top spot with 128 gold medals, while Thailand has 96.
The Malaysian Paralympic team is currently ranked just behind Vietnam, but it's unlikely they can compete for third place, as the gap between the two teams is 18 gold medals.
The Philippine Paralympic team ranked 5th with 27 gold medals, followed by Myanmar with 13 gold medals.
The next positions are held by Singapore, host country Cambodia, Brunei, Timor Leste, and finally Laos.
