Vietnam's 2026 tourism map "Forest Scent - Sea Breeze" by author Dao Kim Trang
As someone with a strong passion for travel, since 1986, every time he prepares for a trip, Mr. Dao Kim Trang draws a route map by researching materials including books and administrative maps of Vietnam.
In the early days, before the internet and digital technology like today, everything was very difficult; everything was done on paper. Over time, the maps of his expeditions grew more and more numerous. He thought about connecting them into a complete diagram to help fellow enthusiasts easily plan their own exciting exploration trips, so he gathered the materials he had accumulated over more than 20 years to create the diagram.
The first version was very simple, only showing the main routes of Vietnam along with the travel routes he had taken. However, thanks to this map, users can plan their trips much more easily without fear of getting lost.
In May 2015, the complete electronic version of the "Vietnam Travel Map" was uploaded by author Dao Kim Trang completely free of charge. This version was widely received and shared with friends by many users passionate about travel, exploration, and experiences. It also served as the foundation for Mr. Dao Kim Trang's creation of the 2026 Vietnam Travel Map Calendar titled "Forest Scent - Sea Breeze".

The "Forest Scent - Sea Breeze" map is the latest version of the "Vietnam Tourism Map" and, notably, this is the first time in 10 years since its creation that the new tourism map has a "birthday" page in the form of a "wall calendar".
In July 2025, when Vietnam's administrative divisions will consist of 34 provinces and cities after mergers, Dao Kim Trang will embark on new routes, the remaining routes he has never cycled before. This journey will last 90 days, covering 3,000 km, and will also serve as the basis for his latest version: the Vietnam Tourism Map 2026 "Forest Scent - Sea Breeze".
The author hopes that his knowledge can somehow help make everyone's travel journey across Vietnam easier.

The 2026 Vietnam travel calendar map "Forest Scent - Sea Breeze" by author Dao Kim Trang is printed on 50cm x 70cm paper.
Author Dao Kim Trang is known as the founder of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Travelers Association (under the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union) from 1993 to 2000. He was one of the outstanding figures of Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the reunification of the country (1975 – 1995). From 1986 to the present, traveler Dao Kim Trang has organized and participated in many short and long trips to provinces and cities across the country by bicycle.
Not only members of the Travel and Exploration Association, teenagers, students, and schoolchildren, but even older people voluntarily participated in the trips he initiated. From the first bicycle trip with 7 members in 1986 (Ho Chi Minh City - Ha Tien) lasting 8 days and covering 500 km, to the 45-day exploration trip with 28 members cycling over 1,800 km through the provinces of Hoa Binh, Vinh Phu, Lao Cai (Sa Pa and conquering Mount Phan Xi Pang), Lai Chau, Dien Bien Phu, and Son La in 1994, the mark of Travel and Exploration Dao Kim Trang has always been present.
