While many big names are still struggling, the Faroe Islands have surprised the whole old continent. After the qualifying round, Faroe ranked third in Group L, just one point behind the Czech Republic - an unprecedented achievement in the history of this island nation's football.

The miracle becomes even more extraordinary when looking back at the journey that has just passed. This tiny team beat Montenegro 4-0, before causing an "earthquake" with a 2-1 victory over the Czech Republic.

In that match, Hanus Sorensen opened the scoring with an incredible long-range shot, and Martin Agnarsson became the hero with the decisive goal in the 81st minute.

It was their third consecutive win - a feat for a team that had never won more than two games in a qualifying round.

Not only have they made great progress in terms of results, the Faroe Islands have also shown incredible fighting spirit, never conceding more than one goal throughout the campaign.

On November 14, they will visit Croatia - their biggest challenge but also a golden opportunity to continue their dream. If they qualify for the play-offs, the Faroe Islands will become the smallest country to ever get close to the World Cup - proving that in football, there are no limits to those who dare to dream.
