Innovating and diversifying Tet holiday tour packages.

To date, travel businesses in the province have completed launching tour packages to serve the year-end travel season and the Lunar New Year holiday of 2025. To stimulate tourism, many businesses have focused on innovating and diversifying tours, offering tourists a wide range of attractive options.

Resorts in the Pu Luong Community Ecotourism Area (Ba Thuoc district) are preparing to welcome and serve guests.

The upcoming Lunar New Year holiday will last 9 days, presenting a great opportunity for travel businesses to develop a diverse range of new tours and offer tourists more opportunities to explore distant destinations. Observations at several travel agencies in the province, such as Vietravel (Thanh Hoa branch), Vietrantour (Thanh Hoa branch), GBest Vietnam (Thanh Hoa branch), Long Hai Travel, Lac Hong Travel, Trust Viet Travel, VNPlus Travel, etc., show that the Tet holiday tour market is booming with a variety of itineraries and new destinations. New Year's Day tours are typically one-day trips, mainly focusing on destinations within the province or connecting tours with neighboring provinces. For the 2025 Lunar New Year (Year of the Snake), each travel agency offers approximately 100 domestic and 50 international tours.

Ms. Tran Thi Nga, Director of Vietravel's Thanh Hoa branch, stated: “The 2025 Tet holiday tours will feature many innovations, focusing most on tour products for the Lunar New Year holiday. Currently, Vietravel has launched a series of New Year's Day tours titled "Welcome the New Year with a Colorful Adventure" and Lunar New Year tours titled "Spring Travel for Prosperity and Peace." We have provided thousands of attractive tour packages to the market, integrating unique experiences that suit customer travel trends. Our Tet holiday tourism products are not just trips, but also journeys of discovery , preserving cultural and natural values ​​– aiming for sustainable tourism and offering many meaningful experiences.”

Reportedly, this is the first time Vietravel has offered tourists "green" trips, with activities focused on the environment and community during the Lunar New Year. In Ninh Binh province, the journey will connect tourists with activities such as tree planting, experiencing the "Bringing Animals Home" program, learning about the rescue and conservation of rare primate species; exploring Van Long Lagoon – a unique area known as the "waveless bay"... In Da Nang, the "Net Zero" journey will focus on activities minimizing environmental impact and aiming for a sustainable future. And in Thanh Hoa, Vietravel will offer tourists trips linked to experiences, cultural festivals, and the unique customs and traditions of the ethnic minority communities in western Thanh Hoa during the Lunar New Year.

While in previous years Tet tours focused on cultural and spiritual tourist destinations with activities such as offering incense and sightseeing, this year, tours focusing on relaxation and nature exploration will receive more attention. It is expected that the number of tourists staying during the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday in Thanh Hoa province will see positive growth compared to previous years, and the domestic tourist market to Thanh Hoa will certainly become more diverse.”

Flamingo Ibiza Hai Tien is expected to be a new "highlight" in the 2025 Tet holiday travel itinerary.

With the peak Tet holiday season in 2025 and the extended vacation period, destinations throughout the province are currently planning to organize traditional Tet experiences such as making banh chung (traditional rice cakes), folk games and performances, and cultural festivals. In particular, Flamingo Ibiza Hai Tien (Hoang Hoa), FLC Sam Son (Sam Son City), Anh Phat Hotels & Resorts (Nghi Son town), and Yen Trung Tourist Village (Yen Dinh) will host attractive music festivals, culinary exchanges, and gala dinners to welcome the new year.

Mr. Ta Hong Sang, General Manager of Flamingo Ibiza Hai Tien, said: “The demand for Tet holiday tourism this year is expected to increase sharply, especially from young families. Therefore, along with activities taking place on weekends, we will bring tourists new and vibrant experiences of Tet culture and lifestyle. Representatives from several travel agencies in the province stated that the extended Lunar New Year holiday is a favorable condition for Thanh Hoa to boost tourism from the South. However, the relatively high airfares are causing difficulties for many businesses. Therefore, travel agencies have been actively coordinating with service providers at destinations throughout the province to stimulate tourism demand and ensure the best possible tour prices. They are also committed to maintaining stable prices until mid-February 2025, contributing to meaningful spring trips for tourists visiting Thanh Hoa.
