In 2024, the emulation and reward work of the province has had a clear change. The emulation movements in batches and on special topics have been enthusiastically responded to by all classes of people, creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere in the province. Emulation movements are regularly launched and widely deployed in all fields of socio-economy, national defense, security, and political system building with rich and practical content and forms, closely following the political tasks of the province, of each agency, unit, and locality. The work of discovering, fostering, and replicating advanced models has been implemented methodically and effectively; many typical examples of progress, good practices, and effective models have been promptly disseminated. The commendation work has had positive, qualitative, and effective changes; the commendation of small groups and individuals with outstanding and especially outstanding achievements in performing their tasks has received attention.
With the spirit of emulation, the consensus and determination of the entire political system and the enthusiastic response of the people, in 2024, the province's socio -economic situation has achieved many positive results. The total product in the province (GRDP) is estimated at 71,326 billion VND, an increase of 7.01% compared to 2023. The total production value is estimated at 210,455 billion VND, an increase of 6.92% compared to 2023. Investment promotion and attraction work has been directed to be effectively implemented with the total investment capital attracted by the province reaching more than 43,177.6 billion VND, of which foreign direct investment (FDI) reached 1.16 billion USD, ranking 12th out of 63 provinces and cities.
2024 is also the third consecutive year that Thai Binh has had over 1,000 newly established enterprises. The rate of public investment disbursement compared to the plan assigned by the Prime Minister is among the top in the country. Cultural and social fields are focused on comprehensive development, meeting the requirements of economic development tasks and serving people's lives. Discipline and administrative discipline in state agencies are strengthened. National defense, security and social order and safety are maintained stably.
