On the morning of January 14th, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to summarize the patriotic emulation movement in 2024 and launch the patriotic emulation movement for 2025.

Attending the conference were: Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Commendation Council; Mr. Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, Provincial National Assembly Delegation, departments, agencies, districts, cities, and representatives of the awarded collectives and individuals.
In 2024, the province's emulation and reward work saw significant progress. Thematic and phased emulation movements were enthusiastically embraced by all sectors of the population, creating a vibrant atmosphere of competition throughout the province. These movements were regularly launched and widely implemented across all economic, social, defense, security, and political system building sectors, with diverse and practical content and forms closely aligned with the province's political tasks and those of each agency, unit, and locality. The work of identifying, nurturing, and replicating advanced models was carried out systematically and effectively; many exemplary individuals, good practices, and effective models were promptly publicized. The reward system showed positive changes in quality and effectiveness; attention was paid to rewarding small groups and individuals with outstanding and exceptional achievements in performing their duties.
With enthusiastic emulation, the unanimous determination of the entire political system, and the enthusiastic response of the people, the province's socio -economic situation in 2024 achieved many positive results. The Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) is estimated at VND 71,326 billion, an increase of 7.01% compared to 2023. The total value of production is estimated at VND 210,455 billion, an increase of 6.92% compared to 2023. Investment promotion and attraction efforts were effectively implemented, with the province attracting over VND 43,177.6 billion in investment capital, including US$1.16 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI), ranking 12th out of 63 provinces and cities.
2024 also marked the third consecutive year that Thai Binh province saw the establishment of over 1,000 new businesses. The disbursement rate of public investment capital, compared to the plan assigned by the Prime Minister, was among the highest in the country. Cultural and social sectors received comprehensive development, meeting the requirements of economic development and serving the people's lives. Administrative discipline and order in state agencies were strengthened. National defense, security, and social order remained stable.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Commendation Council, congratulated the efforts and contributions of collectives and individuals in the emulation movement of learning, work, and creative labor, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province in the past and in 2024.
To strive for the successful achievement of socio-economic development, security, and national defense goals, and to build a solid political system, the comrade proposed that all levels, sectors, localities, and units continue to practically and effectively implement emulation movements to strive for double-digit GRDP growth in 2025; further enhance unity in understanding, decisiveness, innovation, and creativity in action with the spirit of "Discipline, responsibility, proactiveness, timeliness, efficiency, and accelerated breakthrough"; focus intensely on the restructuring and streamlining of the political system's apparatus, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and stability of operation immediately after restructuring in accordance with the directives of the Central Government and the province; and prepare the best possible conditions for the successful organization of Party congresses at all levels and the 21st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030. Promote emulation activities to improve people's lives, ensuring that everyone and every family can celebrate Tet, leaving no one behind; ensure security and safety during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake; continue to effectively implement the nationwide emulation movements and those launched by units and localities, with particular emphasis on the vigorous implementation of the high-intensity emulation campaign "300 days of joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses," spreading the movement of donating land and assets on land among the people, focusing the entire political system and all strata of the people to strive to achieve accomplishments to welcome the Party congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party. Strengthen and further enhance the responsibility of Party committees, Party organizations, governments and leaders at all levels in leading and directing the organization of emulation and reward work. Promote emulation to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management associated with digital transformation and administrative reform; Unlocking resources, seizing breakthrough opportunities to create favorable conditions for investment and development. Comprehensively and creatively in organizing patriotic emulation movements based on political tasks and the practical situation of localities and units. Strongly reforming and improving the quality of reward work; focusing on commending, rewarding, planning, training, and nurturing experienced, enthusiastic, and contributing individuals; paying attention to and encouraging rewards for small groups and individuals directly involved in labor, combat, and special tasks; At the same time, emphasis should be placed on promoting advanced models and new factors through various movements to create a widespread emulation atmosphere and strong motivation to successfully implement the set tasks, especially to successfully achieve the goals set forth in the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, striving to build Thai Binh into a moderately developed province by 2025, catching up with the leading group by 2030, and becoming a developed province in the Red River Delta region by 2045, breaking through in development and ready to join the whole country in entering a new era - the era of national progress.
Speaking in response to the 2025 emulation movements launched by Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Commendation Council, Comrade Vu Thanh Van, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, called on all strata of the people, religions, businesses, entrepreneurs; intellectuals; cadres, civil servants, employees; officers and soldiers of the armed forces; and Thai Binh people living, studying, and working in other provinces and abroad to continue to uphold the tradition of patriotism and solidarity, strongly responding to the emulation movement with concrete actions; to continue to innovate the content, form, and methods of organizing patriotic emulation movements, closely adhering to political tasks, and effectively implementing the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws. Upholding the fine traditions of our nation and heroic homeland, igniting ambitions, dreams, and aspirations, daring to think and act, confidently and steadily moving forward with the whole country to soar high and far into a new era of prosperity and flourishing.

At the conference, on behalf of the President of Vietnam, Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Commendation Council, presented the decision to confer the title of Hero of Labor to Mr. Nguyen Minh Chuyen, former senior director of Vietnam Television and the Vietnam Writers Association, and Head of the Management Board of the Museum of Post-War Works - Minh Chuyen, for his exceptionally outstanding achievements in creative labor, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland; provincial leaders also awarded the First and Second Class Labor Orders and the National Unity Order to 15 collectives and individuals; the Third Class Labor Order to 16 collectives and individuals; and the Government's Emulation Flag to 11 collectives. The Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Committee awarded emulation flags to 13 collectives and certificates of merit to 64 collectives and individuals for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement and positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the province in 2024.
