On the morning of September 7th, the Traffic Police Department of Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police received a letter from Mr. Tran Van Khanh (born in 1993, residing in Lien Chieu district, Da Nang city).
In the letter, Mr. Khanh expressed his gratitude and thanks to the traffic police force of Thua Thien Hue province after he and his son received support and assistance from the officers and soldiers of this unit on their way back home.
Mr. Tran Van Khanh said that on the afternoon of September 6th, he was riding his motorbike with his 4-year-old son from Da Nang City back to his hometown in Quang Binh province. When they reached Km 20+800 on National Highway 1A, the bypass road around Hue City, they encountered heavy rain.
A traffic police team from Team 1, Traffic Police Department of Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police, while on duty in the area, spotted Mr. Khanh and his son pushing their motorbike in the rain, the child looking tired. The traffic police team approached them, inquired about their well-being, and helped them find a place to rest and take shelter from the rain.
Meanwhile, a traffic police officer in the team ran to a nearby gas station to buy gasoline for Mr. Khanh's motorbike and also provided him with snacks, milk, and water, helping the father and son continue their journey back home.
"My father and I are very grateful and appreciative of the timely assistance provided by the traffic police officers of Thua Thien Hue province."
"I would like to express my gratitude to the traffic police officers on duty who wholeheartedly helped those of us who unfortunately encountered difficulties, like my father and I," Khanh wrote in his letter.
