Braving the rain to get to the exam venue.

On the morning of June 27th, more than 9,000 students in Lao Cai entered the second day of the 2025 high school graduation exam.

In the morning, candidates taking the 2018 General Education Program exam will take the first and second elective exams from among the following subjects (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economics and Law Education, Informatics, Technology, and Foreign Language); each exam will last 50 minutes. The end of this morning's exam also marks the conclusion of the 2018 General Education Program exam for all candidates.

For candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program exam, in the morning, they will take the Natural Sciences combined exam (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and the Social Sciences combined exam (History, Geography, Civic Education), with 50 minutes allotted for each subject; in the afternoon of the same day, at 2:30 PM, candidates will continue with the Foreign Language exam, with 60 minutes allotted.

This morning, moderate to heavy rain fell in several areas of the province, with particularly heavy rain in Lao Cai city. To arrive at the examination rooms on time, students braved the rain to get to the exam centers; the examination staff and volunteers made every effort to support the candidates and their families.
