In the 90+4 minute of extra time, Al Nassr received a bitter defeat when conceding a goal and losing 2-3, despite leading the opponent by 2 goals in the first half. Ronaldo was the one who felt the most frustrated when witnessing everything collapse in the last minute.
The Portuguese superstar quickly brought the ball back to the middle of the field, waving his hands as if to encourage his teammates because there was still time left. But then, he put his hands together and placed them on his cheeks, criticizing his teammates for playing like "sleepwalkers" for most of the second half.

However, in response on social media, many fans openly criticized Ronaldo as the one who caused Al Nassr to lose the match. "It's funny, he missed so many chances and still blames his teammates," one fan said.
Another said: "Ronaldo said his teammates were dreaming, but it was actually him who needed to wake up."
A third wrote: "How many times? Ronaldo looks very angry with Al-Nassr's defensive mistakes. The problem is that he doesn't help in defending."

This was a match to forget for Ronaldo, as he had 6 shots, the most in the match, but did not score any goals. Notably, Ronaldo had the ball in the penalty area, but from a distance of just over 5m, the 40-year-old striker shot wide.
After the referee blew the final whistle, Ronaldo seemed angry with himself as he expressed his frustration and raised his hands high because of his team's bitter defeat.
The defeat all but ended Al Nassr's slim hopes of winning the Saudi Pro League. They are now 11 points behind leaders Al Ittihad with four games remaining.
It has been a tough week for Ronaldo as he looks set to continue his trophy-less campaign for Al Nassr, who were knocked out of the AFC Champions League by Japanese side Kawasaki Frontale last week.
