Chairman of Thieu Ly Commune People's Committee Le Khac Bao said: The commune currently has 7/7 villages recognized as cultural units, 93% of households are cultural. Each village has a cultural house, a standard village sports area, meeting the cultural and sports needs of the people. Along with that, each village has established 2 to 3 art and sports teams... That is the result of the commune's attention to implementing the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life associated with building new rural areas.

According to the assessment of Thieu Hoa district, the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life in the area has been widely deployed, associated with the construction of new rural areas and the construction of civilized urban lifestyles. The results of the movement have had a comprehensive impact on all aspects of life, contributing to the successful implementation of the district's socio-economic tasks.

In order for the movement to spread widely, the Steering Committee of the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life in the district has closely followed the programs and plans of the higher levels and the local realities as a basis for issuing many policies, plans and solutions to promote the development of the movement, focusing on directing the movement of building cultural villages, sub-areas and cultural families. At the same time, the Steering Committee of the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life in the district and communes and towns has promoted the dissemination and popularization of resolutions and decisions related to improving the quality of culture and the contents of the movement to each village and each household so that people know and implement. Associations, unions and localities have proactively integrated the contents of the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life with movements, emulation campaigns and activities of the unit.

During the implementation process, the district has identified the movement to build cultural families, cultural villages and residential groups as a central and continuous task. Therefore, it has focused on disseminating the meaning and role of families in society; the importance of building cultural families with the contents of building cultural residential areas, building cultural agencies and units and preventing and combating domestic violence. In particular, the district has directed localities to link the building of cultural families with the implementation of civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals, festivals and in the community; preserving and promoting traditional cultural values ​​of families and the nation.

The district also coordinates with associations and organizations to integrate the movement of building cultural families with movements to build a green, clean and beautiful environment; compete in good production and business, unite to help each other reduce poverty and develop the economy. The effectiveness of the movement of building cultural families has contributed to creating a healthy and safe cultural environment, repelling social evils. In 2024, the rate of cultural families in the district will reach 93.6%; the rate of cultural residential areas will reach 93.4%.

One of the solutions to help the movement of the whole people unite to build a cultural life spread strongly, implemented by Thieu Hoa district, is that the steering committees at all levels have mobilized all resources to complete the system of cultural and sports institutions. Communes and towns have allocated land funds to plan cultural centers, cultural houses, sports areas, and community activity areas associated with new rural construction.

To date, the district has a conference center, a gymnasium, a stadium, and a traditional exhibition house. 100% of communes and towns have cultural centers, sports areas, and entertainment spots for the elderly and children. 100% of villages and sub-regions have cultural houses and sports areas. Cultural and sports facilities are fully equipped and used for the right purposes.

Head of the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Thieu Hoa district, Tran Ngoc Tung, said: “The movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life has always received the attention of the Party Committee, the government and the response and participation of the people. Through the movement, the people have promoted their role as the main subject and from there, many typical examples have appeared in local movements such as building roads, building cultural houses, cleaning the environment, developing the economy, cultural and sports movements... The results achieved from the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life have become the driving force for the locality to effectively implement socio-economic development goals”.
