Duy Hung attracted attention when he and his son - Bean (real name Duc Anh, four years old) - participated in the reality show Dad, Where Are We Going?, which aired on May 19. Before the show started filming, despite having to use crutches due to an accident while filming, he was determined to accompany his son, hoping to create beautiful memories in Bean's childhood.

In addition to participating in television projects, the actor works at the Hanoi Drama Theater. His job often requires him to leave home early in the morning and return at midnight or dawn. Therefore, when he is not working on films, he rarely goes out and spends all his time with his family. The actor does not hesitate to help his wife with housework such as cooking, washing dishes, playing with his son, and teaching him.

Duy Hung married his wife Nguyen Huyen in 2019. The actor said that she was the one who initiated the text message to get to know him after watching him in the movie Me Cung, and their feelings were nurtured after conversations and meetings. After many years in the profession, Duy Hung focused on acting and kept his personal life private. He rarely shares pictures or information about his family on social media, except on special occasions.

In the rare times he mentions his wife, Duy Hung says he is lucky because his wife always understands the nature of his work. As an actress, Nguyen Huyen sympathizes with her husband when he leaves early and comes home late or has intimate scenes with his co-stars. After getting married, she focuses on running the house and taking care of the children so that he can focus on his work. According to Duy Hung, his wife is always the most demanding audience member, giving him feedback on his performance in each role.

Unlike his tough, rebellious appearance on film, in real life, Duy Hung is emotional. He takes good care of his son. When asked about his father, Bean said: "Dad cooks, takes me to school, bathes me and puts me to bed."

Since Bean was born, Duy Hung's life has changed like any other family. After work, the couple no longer hangs out at bars and restaurants, but only wants to return home quickly to their child. In addition, they advise each other to be more conscious of their words so that the child is not affected. All personal expenses of both are limited, focusing on investing in the best for the child.

Duy Hung and his wife agree on how toeducate their child. When he is strict, his wife must not intervene but must find the right time to calm him down. The actor jokingly said that Bean is "only afraid of his father" because he always corrects his every action and behavior. At the launch event of the show "Dad, where are we going?", when he saw that his child's answer to the MC was not complete, he immediately reminded him. "I am not too harsh, but it is enough for my child to know his limits, distinguish right from wrong, dare to admit his mistakes and learn to be tolerant in life," Duy Hung said.

According to the actor, his son also has artistic talent and has acted in several commercials with him. Since he was one or two years old, he followed his father to the theater and watched the artists rehearse plays. Duy Hung said his son loves watching his films. He explains to him about each character he plays, from the main character to the villain. ''Bean understands his father's profession and knows that I am acting, not real life,'' he said. Despite being strict, the actor respects all of his son's interests. If his son is passionate and wants to follow in his father's footsteps, he is ready to support him after Bean completes 12 years of school.
