Ban Giang Border Guard Station, Huong Lien Commune People's Committee and Ha Tinh Province Social Insurance recently coordinated to organize a Cham Cha Boi Festival for the Chut ethnic group in Rao Tre village.
The Chut ethnic group in Rao Tre village currently has 45 households and 156 people. In recent years, along with taking care of the material and spiritual life of the Chut ethnic group, the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values have also received great attention from all levels, sectors and localities in Ha Tinh province.
Cham Cha Boi Festival or New Rice Festival of the Chut ethnic group takes place on November 12 (Lunar calendar) every year, after the harvest is finished.
This is an occasion for the villagers to prepare offerings to thank the land and sky after a bountiful harvest, a peaceful life, and good health. At the ceremony, the villagers performed the forest edge worship ritual of the Chut ethnic group.
Students participate in performing arts
After the ceremony, there were performances imbued with national identity by students and teachers of Huong Lien Primary School. At the program, leaders of the Provincial Social Insurance, Huong Khe District and Huong Lien Commune wished a happy new year and presented gifts to the villagers.

Chut ethnic people receive gifts from Social Insurance and Huong Khe district
At the program, the Provincial Social Insurance presented 45 gifts including 10 kg of rice and some necessities to 45 households of the Chut ethnic group; Huong Khe district and Huong Lien commune presented gifts including pork and carp to the local people.
