On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), on May 2, 2024, the provincial delegation led by comrade Duong Xuan Huyen, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited and presented gifts to Dien Bien soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign in Huu Lung district.
Comrade Duong Xuan Huyen, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited and presented gifts to the family of veteran Nguyen Trong Tich, born in 1932, in Ca Ngoai village, Minh Son commune.
During the program, the delegation visited the family of Mr. Hoang Xuan Cuu, born in 1930, a war invalid, residing in Ben Luong village, Minh Son commune; the family of veteran Nguyen Trong Tich, born in 1932, residing in Ca Ngoai village, Minh Son commune; Mrs. Ly Thi Be, born in 1931, residing in Ba Nang village, Cai Kinh commune. Mrs. Ly Thi Be was one of the youth volunteers and frontline laborers who contributed to the Dien Bien Phu victory.

At the families, Comrade Duong Xuan Huyen, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his gratitude and respect for the great contributions and sacrifices of Dien Bien soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign. At the same time, he wished them good health, to continue promoting the revolutionary family tradition, and to be a spiritual support for their children and grandchildren. He also requested that local Party committees and authorities continue to pay attention, care for, and carry out well the work of "repaying gratitude" to policy families and people with meritorious services to the revolution in the area./.
