Moving at Noi Bai airport, two Vietnam Airlines planes collided

Vietnam Airlines representative said that on June 27, a collision between two planes while moving in the taxiway area occurred at Noi Bai International Airport.

A collision during taxiway movement caused a Vietnam Airlines plane's tail wing to tear.

According to Vietnam Airlines, the plane with flight number VN-A863, operated flight VN7205 from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City.

While taxiing to the runway to prepare for takeoff, this plane's wing hit the tail of plane VN-A338, which was waiting to take flight VN1804 from Hanoi to Dien Bien .

Immediately after the incident, functional units at Noi Bai airport urgently deployed handling measures according to procedures, ensuring safety for passengers and flight crew. All passengers on the two flights were supported and arranged to transfer to alternative flights to continue their journey.

Currently, authorities are coordinating with relevant parties to assess and verify the cause of the incident.
