Ministry of Public Security: Cases of candidates taking photos of the exam papers and asking AI to help solve them have been discovered

So far, three subjects have been identified using AI applications in two examination councils, using their phones to take a photo of part of the exam questions to send to AI and solve the questions.

This is the information given by Major General Tran Dinh Chung, Deputy Director of Security Department A03, Ministry of Public Security at the press conference after the High School Graduation Exam organized by the Ministry of Education and Training this afternoon, June 27.

According to Mr. Chung, immediately after receiving information from the Ministry of Education and Training about the spread of information about leaked exam questions on the Internet, the A03 Security Department coordinated to organize investigation and verification work.

According to Major General Tran Dinh Chung, another case of high-tech cheating was discovered in Lam Dong . The candidate used high-tech equipment, using a camera attached to his shirt to transfer the questions outside and ask someone to help him solve them.

“The police have identified and questioned the candidates, and the candidates have admitted their wrongdoings. We are continuing to verify the records and handle the case based on the nature and severity of the incident. The Ministry of Public Security has reviewed it and has not discovered anything else,” Major General Tran Dinh Chung added.

Mr. Chung said that the group of subjects was very small, taking place during the test time, other candidates did not have time and conditions to know, so it did not affect the security and safety of the exam.

According to Mr. Chung, in the future, the use of AI for fraud will become more sophisticated, requiring synchronous solutions and higher technology applications to prevent high-tech fraud.

“The most important thing is to educate and raise awareness among students and relevant people about this issue,” said Mr. Chung.

Previously, on the evening of June 26, information spread on social media that a part of the Math exam was photographed and sent to an AI application for help. However, the Ministry of Education and Training has confirmed that the information spread on social media about the Math exam of the High School Graduation Exam being leaked during the exam time for this subject is incorrect.
