Numerous tourists flocked to the hot air balloon festival in Quang Ninh.

The Hot Air Balloon Festival will be held from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and after 4:30 PM on September 1st and 2nd. This morning, the city of Ha Long issued over 100 tickets to residents and tourists to experience the service and admire Ha Long Bay from above.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Thoa (Ha Long City) shared: "This is the first time I've been in a hot air balloon. Sitting up there, I could see a beautiful panoramic view. The festival introduced the people of Ha Long to hot air balloons and also promoted Ha Long City's many beautiful sights."

Quang Ninh is organizing its first-ever hot air balloon festival to attract locals and tourists to experience it.

The hot air balloon festival, themed "Heritage City, Vibrant Colors," aims to concretize the "Ha Long - Festival City" project, which will be held annually to create more attractive spaces for tourists visiting Ha Long. It also serves as an opportunity to promote the image of Ha Long's heritage, culture, and people; creating attractive tourism products and contributing to Quang Ninh's goal of welcoming 19 million tourists in 2024.

The hot air balloon festival, themed "Heritage City, Vibrant Colors," will be held annually by Ha Long City.

Mr. Hoang Ngoc Nam, representative of the organizing unit for the Ha Long Hot Air Balloon Festival 2024, shared: "Hot air balloons and paragliders are all flying devices, completely dependent on the weather. If the wind is above level 3, we cannot fly and have to postpone it. We will fly when the wind is calmer. To avoid a situation where people with invitation tickets are unable to fly, we have requested the Organizing Committee that if there are weather problems preventing the flight, we are willing to stay an extra day, September 3rd, to make up for it."
