Five days after the devastating earthquake, tens of thousands of people in Myanmar's capital Nay Pyi Taw are still living in the open, lacking electricity, water and basic necessities.
Faced with that situation, the relief team of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security not only focused on search and rescue, but also sent working groups to support and help people stabilize their lives in temporary camps.
After the earthquake, the Taw Win Yadanar school yard in Zabu Thiri town was converted into a temporary camp for about 200 people to stay in poor conditions.
On the morning of April 2, the rescue force of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam sent a group to set up 2 tents to support people with shelter from the sun and dew.
Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong - Head of the working group, hopes that these tents will partly compensate for the loss, helping people feel sharing and love after the disaster.
In parallel with the rescue work, the medical team of the delegation also organized medical examinations and treatment and distributed medicine to people injured in the earthquake. These activities received deep gratitude and affection from the people here.
Ms. Daw Maw Maw, a Myanmar resident, shared: "We have just experienced an earthquake disaster, but in the past days, we have felt the care and enthusiastic support from the rescue team of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security. They have brought us medicine and food."
Despite the difficult circumstances, the relief team from the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam is always willing to share small items such as dry food and clean water - that is the sincere sentiment that the team has for the people of Myanmar, helping them overcome the pain and difficulties after the natural disaster./.
