Driving force for socio-economic development

In order to concretize the Party's resolutions, directives and conclusions on Vietnamese culture and arts, in recent years, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Education Committee (now the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Education Committee) has advised the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee to issue many leadership and direction documents and implementation plans. Notably, it has advised the effective implementation of Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW of the Central Executive Committee on "Building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development"; advised the Provincial Party Committee to issue Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU on "Continuing to build and develop Thanh Hoa culture and people in the new period"; advising on creative awards, promoting literary and artistic works, journalism on the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style"... At the same time, guiding the district-level propaganda and mass mobilization committee, sectors, and organizations to coordinate well, organize many exciting and widespread Vietnamese cultural activities in all regions, leaving many good impressions.

Vietnamese cultural activities to celebrate political events, holidays, and major anniversaries of the homeland and country took place enthusiastically, rich in content, form and scale of organization. Typical are the 70th anniversary celebration of welcoming compatriots, cadres, soldiers and students from the South to the North; the political art program "Under the flag of Victory"; the art program Welcoming the New Spring; the art program 60 years of Ham Rong victory... The content of the art programs focused on praising the glorious Party, great Uncle Ho, love for the homeland and country, the achievements of the army and people of Thanh Hoa, preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Vietnamese people and the cultural nuances of Thanh Hoa.

The mass art movement is organized regularly and extensively by all levels and sectors, attracting a large number of cadres, party members and people from all walks of life to participate, especially women, union members, youth, students and pupils. With more than 1,300 mass art clubs, the whole province has organized many art exchange activities widely in residential areas, agencies, schools... Many models have been maintained effectively, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Typical examples include the model of the sports folk dance club of the Women's Union, the youth club of folk singing and revolutionary songs of the youth union, the Ma River singing club, Chau Van singing club in the plains districts, the Khua Luong and Gong-beating clubs in the mountainous districts...

The propaganda work of Vietnamese culture activities is carried out by all levels, sectors, localities and units in many diverse forms. In 2024, localities have propagated more than 524 news, articles and photos on internal bulletin boards; thousands of articles on Facebook and Zalo about Vietnamese culture activities; the grassroots information system in the whole province has propagated more than 26,784 news and articles; erected more than 1,260 groups of propaganda panels, hung more than 84,860 banners, more than 210,000 red flags; organized 24 exhibitions of photos, books, newspapers and documents.

The work of appraising programs, plans, and activities in the field of Vietnamese culture and arts has been promptly carried out by the propaganda sector. In 2024, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department issued 40 documents appraising and giving comments on plans, programs, and projects of sectors and localities. Among them, there are many large-scale provincial-level programs that are broadcast live in the province and nationwide. In addition, the propaganda and mass mobilization departments at all levels have coordinated well in performing the task of preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage; restoring traditional festivals, games, and folk performances, especially festivals and performances that have been recognized as national intangible cultural heritage.

To properly implement the Party's policies and guidelines on Vietnamese culture, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission has inspected and supervised Party committees, propaganda and mass mobilization commissions at all levels. In the past year, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission organized 3 inspections of festival and religious activities, 5 inspections of cultural activities, 2 inspections of science and education, and Vietnamese culture. The district-level Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission organized 78 inspections and supervisions. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized 17 administrative and specialized inspections; supervised 3 inspections on cultural heritage conservation in Ngoc Lac, Nga Son and Quang Xuong districts.

Literary and artistic creation activities are organized by the Provincial Literature and Arts Association in coordination with sectors and localities for writers and artists to penetrate reality and create many literary and artistic works reflecting many aspects of social life. Many high-quality literary and artistic works, reflecting the beauty of the land and people of Thanh Hoa, have contributed to enriching the cultural and spiritual life of the people of all ethnic groups in the province and arousing pride and aspiration to rise up, build the culture and people of Thanh Hoa to meet the requirements of integration and sustainable development.

2025 is the year of many major political and cultural events of the country and the province. Therefore, Vietnamese cultural activities continue to be organized enthusiastically and widely by all levels and sectors, contributing to improving the people's lives and cultural enjoyment needs, while preventing and promptly and effectively refuting false and hostile information and viewpoints, thereby strengthening people's trust in the Party's leadership.
