According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, water levels on rivers from Thanh Hoa to Hue are currently changing slowly and remain below alarm level 1.
Warning: From tonight (August 24th) to August 28th, a flood is expected on rivers from Thanh Hoa to Hue. During this flood, peak water levels on small rivers, the Ca River (Nghe An), Ngan Sau River, Ngan Pho River, La River ( Ha Tinh ), Gianh River, Kien Giang River, Thach Han River (Quang Tri) will reach levels 2-3 and above level 3; the Buoi River, upper reaches of the Ma River (Thanh Hoa), Bo River, Huong River (Hue City) will reach levels 1-2 and above level 2; and the lower reaches of the Ma River will rise above level 1.
There is a high risk of flooding in low-lying riverside areas, urban areas, and densely populated areas, as well as flash floods and landslides on slopes in mountainous regions from Thanh Hoa to Hue .
Risk of safety hazards at vulnerable small hydropower and irrigation reservoirs.
Flood risk warning level: Level 2.
Flooding on rivers and streams can cause inundation in low-lying areas along the riverbanks, affecting waterway transportation, aquaculture, agricultural production, people's lives, and socio-economic activities.
