Accordingly, the city will continue to strictly manage and protect nearly 349,000 hectares of forest and forestry land under the three-category forest planning, aiming to maintain a forest cover rate of over 24.5% by 2030. In addition, Dong Nai will strengthen investment in forest protection, fire prevention and control; apply digital technology and remote sensing in monitoring forest resources; and develop a project for absorbing and storing forest carbon to participate in the carbon credit market.

Dong Nai also continues to develop concentrated raw material areas, expand the area of sustainably managed forests, and diversify revenue sources from forest environmental services, ecotourism , and medicinal plant cultivation under the forest canopy.
