Dong Nai aims to achieve a forest cover rate of over 24.5% by 2030.

In the general planning of Dong Nai city, the forestry sector is oriented towards modern, sustainable, and multi-value development, closely linking forest protection with forestry economic development, biodiversity conservation, and climate change adaptation.

Accordingly, the city will continue to strictly manage and protect nearly 349,000 hectares of forest and forestry land under the three-category forest planning, aiming to maintain a forest cover rate of over 24.5% by 2030. In addition, Dong Nai will strengthen investment in forest protection, fire prevention and control; apply digital technology and remote sensing in monitoring forest resources; and develop a project for absorbing and storing forest carbon to participate in the carbon credit market.
