According to reports, at around 7 PM on the same day, hundreds of vehicles were stuck in traffic and moving slowly on National Highway 51, the section from the roundabout of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway to the intersection with Bung Mon Road.

In the Bung Mon area, a temporary route for vehicles traveling from National Highway 51 onto the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway is experiencing severe traffic congestion due to numerous large trucks entering the Loc An - Binh Son Industrial Park, combined with vehicles entering the expressway, forcing motorcyclists to move onto the sidewalk.

According to Mr. Duong Cu Thanh (a resident of Long Thanh ward), many sections of National Highway 51 passing through the area are under repair, narrowing the road width. During peak hours, the large number of people working in industrial zones and large trucks entering and exiting the area causes serious traffic congestion.
Previously, to minimize the impact on traffic during the repair of National Highway 51, on April 22, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province issued a document requesting relevant units to shorten the construction time as much as possible, complete the project early, and alleviate traffic congestion on National Highway 51.
The People's Committee of Dong Nai province has requested relevant units to urgently inspect the site and assess the entire construction organization, barricades, and traffic diversion on National Highway 51; ensuring that repairs are carried out while maintaining optimal traffic flow.
