Groundbreaking Ceremony of Cam Thinh Dong Resettlement Area Technical Infrastructure Construction Project

On the morning of August 19, the People's Committee of Nam Cam Ranh Commune held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Cam Thinh Dong Resettlement Area Technical Infrastructure Construction Project. This is a project serving the North-South High-Speed Railway Project through the commune; a practical project to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). Attending the ceremony were comrade Le Huu Tri - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; leaders of departments, branches, sectors and localities.

The Cam Thinh Dong Resettlement Area Technical Infrastructure Construction Project has a total investment of over 20.6 billion VND; the scale is nearly 1.9 hectares, with an expected arrangement of about 75 resettlement plots. The main items include: Leveling, earth retaining, internal traffic system, drainage, domestic water supply, electricity supply, public lighting and tree planting. The resettlement area is designed in a modern and synchronous manner, meeting the resettlement needs of households affected by the North-South High-Speed Railway Project.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Le Huu Tri emphasized: The project not only ensures stable housing, improves the quality of life for people but also creates motivation for infrastructure development, promotes local socio -economic development. Therefore, the investor needs to focus resources, carry out scientific construction, ensure progress, quality and safety. Relevant units need to coordinate closely, promptly remove difficulties to complete the resettlement area on schedule, contributing to ensuring the overall progress of the North-South High-Speed Railway Project.

The investor mobilizes means to implement the project.

The North-South high-speed railway project has a total length of more than 1,540km, with a design speed of 350km/h, and is expected to be operational from 2035. In Khanh Hoa province alone, the railway line passes through nearly 192km, affecting more than 5,400 households, of which about 1,720 households need resettlement. Cam Thinh Dong resettlement area is one of the projects aimed at ensuring stable and decent housing for affected households.
