Many households in the commune have agreed and actively participated in the "State and People working together" spirit. A prime example is the flower village road in Zone 6, Tien Du, which has a total length of over 2,500 meters, comprising 6 branch lines. To facilitate construction, households living along the route voluntarily donated land, cut down trees, dismantled fences and structures on their land to hand over the site. As a result, the road surface was widened to 5 meters, the roadbed to 6 meters, and the shoulder width on each side to 1.25 meters, meeting the standards of a Class B road.
Mr. Le Thanh Hai, one of the pioneers who donated land for road construction, shared: "Previously, the road was narrow and difficult to travel on. When the government decided to widen the road, as a Party member, I encouraged my family to readily donate land and dismantle structures to make way for the road. A wide and beautiful road makes travel easier for the people, and future generations will also benefit."
Sharing the same sentiment, Mr. Le Van Tinh from Zone 6 said: "Immediately after receiving the policy and the determined spirit of the local Party committee and government, I discussed with my family and voluntarily donated land to expand the road together with the other residents."
Thanks to the consensus on donating land for the construction of new rural areas in Binh Phu, road projects are being accelerated, contributing to changing the face of the countryside.
Not only Mr. Hai and Mr. Tinh's families, but dozens of households in areas 5 and 6 of the former Tien Du commune have unanimously supported the movement to donate land for road expansion. These actions have contributed to spreading the land donation movement for road construction throughout the commune.
Creating motivation to build our homeland.
Comrade Ha Xuan Huan, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Phu commune, said: After implementing the two-tiered local government model from July 1, 2025, the commune continues to promote the "All people join hands to build new rural areas" movement, mobilizing maximum resources from the people, businesses, and social organizations through various forms such as land donation, labor contribution, and support with construction materials... To create high consensus, the commune has established a Land Donation Campaign Committee for road construction, regularly monitoring the grassroots level, listening to the thoughts and aspirations of the people; and at the same time, clearly explaining the benefits of building transportation infrastructure for socio-economic development and improving people's lives.
Thanks to the collective efforts and unity of the people and Party members, the new roads in Binh Phu are now contributing to changing the face of the rural area. The expanded roads not only facilitate travel and trade but also open up opportunities for economic development and increased income for the people. The movement of donating land and expanding roads in Binh Phu commune has yielded practical results, becoming a driving force for the local socio-economic development and gradually fulfilling the criteria for building a new rural area. |
To achieve these results, the commune's Party committee and government have been flexible in their propaganda and mobilization efforts; they have promoted the role of cadres, Party members, and mass organizations in creating consensus among the people. As a result, the people have clearly understood the meaning and practical benefits of the new rural development program for their lives and the long-term development of the locality.
