Chukwuemeka is about to join Dortmund. |
According to Sky Sports , Dortmund is very close to recruiting Chelsea's young talent duo: Aaron Anselmino (20 years old) and Carney Chukwuemeka (21 years old). The Ruhr club agreed to spend 25 million euros to buy Chukwuemeka, and at the same time own the center-back Anselmino on a loan contract, with a buyout clause worth more than 20 million euros.
Anselmino, who recently moved to Chelsea for €17 million in 2024, is seen as a long-term investment for Dortmund's defence, while Chukwuemeka promises to strengthen Dortmund's attack.
The third deal is striker Fabio Silva from Wolverhampton Wanderers. After weeks of negotiations, the deal is almost done, with a transfer fee estimated at around €25 million.
These deals reflect Dortmund's smart strategy in a limited budget, compared to Bayern Munich or Premier League clubs. Bild commented that these deals not only strengthen the squad but also demonstrate the ambition of Dortmund under coach Niko Kovac.
The Ruhr club is considered by many German experts to be the only rival that can stop Bayern in the Bundesliga 2025/26. Buying three players at once, including Anselmino, Fabio Silva and Chukwuemeka, for a price that could reach 70 million euros, shows Dortmund's ambition.
