Five men were prosecuted for setting off fireworks at a coffee shop.

On November 27, the Vinh City Police Department ( Nghe An ) issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute 3 suspects; and temporarily detain 2 suspects for disturbing public order by setting off firecrackers.

On the evening of November 23, 2024, a working group of Vinh City Police, while patrolling and controlling to ensure security and order in Hung Dung ward, discovered continuous fireworks exploding in a residential area in Trung Dinh block.

The working group inspected and discovered fireworks exploding at a coffee shop that was opening on Phong Dinh Cang Street. They deployed professional measures, collected evidence and documents, investigated and clarified two young men who were suspected of lighting fireworks and throwing them onto the street, causing public disorder.

Evidence seized at the scene included: 1 lighter, firecracker remains and some other related evidence.

At the investigation agency, the subjects confessed to being Nguyen Quang Binh (born in 1988), residing in block 15, Truong Thi ward and Pham Van Minh (born in 1993), residing in Trung Dinh block.

Previously, the Vinh City Police Investigation Agency had just issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute three suspects Pham Anh Tuan (born 1995), Tran Trung Thanh (born 1985), and Duong Van Toan (born 1982), all residing in Hung Hoa commune, Vinh city, for disturbing public order.

According to the investigation results, on October 29, 2024, Tuan, Thanh, and Toan went to a restaurant in Khanh Hau hamlet, Hung Hoa commune to eat and socialize. Afterwards, Toan and Thanh brought the fireworks (purchased from a strange man earlier) with Tuan to the land area in front of the restaurant and used a lighter to light the fireworks.

Vinh City Police Investigation Agency is completing the dossier to strictly handle the subjects according to the provisions of law.
