Entering the match, coach Troussier made three changes to the starting lineup compared to the game five days ago. These included striker Tiến Linh, midfielder Văn Khang, and defender Văn Thanh, replacing Đình Bắc, Nhâm Mạnh Dũng, and Minh Trọng.
