Deep echoes of "His words are like mountains and rivers" by musician Nguyen Van Sanh

A large audience attended the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Literature and Arts Associations Hall. This was an opportunity to introduce the talented musician's typical compositions, which were performed with great emotion, and for singers, musicians, and professionals to look back on a musical journey deeply connected with the theme of composer Nguyen Van Sanh's compositions about Uncle Ho and the nation.

Nguyen Van Sanh made a beautiful impression

At the beginning of the program, the auditorium was filled with the solemn voice of Meritorious Artist Cao Minh with the song " Ho Chi Minh - Forever Bright Faith". Immediately after that, the flow of emotions spread through familiar songs: "Uncle is Ho Chi Minh" performed by the New Life Group, "According to Uncle's words" (Sol Viet Group), "His will for the country and the people" (duet Huynh Loi - Thanh Nga), "As if still listening to Uncle's voice" (singer Le Thu Ha), "Learning the style of Uncle for the people" (Huynh Loi and the New Life female group)...

All are full of emotion, showing the mark in the composition of musician Nguyen Van Sanh who wrote about Uncle Ho with all his heart.

Nguyen Van Sanh does not "propagandize songs"

A special highlight is the theme song "His words are like mountains and rivers" performed by singer Thanh Nga. The soulful melody and simple but profound lyrics depict the image of Uncle Ho, both familiar and great, leaving a lasting echo in the listeners' souls.

The audience was also moved by a series of songs closely related to life, emotions and morality: "Learning from people about virtue and talent" (singer Luu Truong Hai), "Learning from people about fighting against internal invaders" (Suc Song Moi group, led by Le Thu Ha and Quoc Anh), "Learning from Uncle Ho about self-criticism and criticism" (Huynh Loi and the Suc Song Moi female group).

"The songs about Uncle Ho written by musician Nguyen Van Sanh are profound messages about personality and self-improvement in today's life. They are not written in a slogan-based propaganda style, but are very real and sincere," said Meritorious Artist and Musician Tran Vuong Thach, Vice President of the Vietnam Musicians Association.

In particular, performances for children such as "My Uncle Ho" (trio), "I draw Uncle Ho" (DoRe group), "I visit Uncle Ho's house" (little An Nhien), "Uncle visits my house" (Khanh Ngoc and Tuong Lam - DoRe group), or "Come visit Uncle Ho's house" (singer Kim Thoa), "Visit Pac Po" (singer Thai Hoa), "Uncle Ho's tree" (singer Hai Ngan), "Read Uncle Ho's poems" (singer Duy Linh), "The fox and the beehive" (Suc Song Moi group)... brought a pure atmosphere, conveying love and respect for Uncle Ho to the young generation.

Closing the program, all the artists sang together in "Echoes of Uncle Ho's words", leaving a strong climax, making the whole audience feel moved and proud.

Nguyen Van Sanh has made glorious contributions to music.

In his happiness, musician Nguyen Van Sanh emotionally shared: "I was truly moved when I sat in the audience, listening to all 20 of my songs through the voices of generations of artists, especially today's young singers. The most precious thing is not that I am still alive to listen to the work again, but that the songs written about Uncle Ho still resonate and are still welcomed by the audience. That is the greatest happiness of my life."

Musician Nguyen Van Sanh was born on October 20, 1947 in Tay Phu, Tay Son, Binh Dinh. He is a member of the Vietnam Musicians Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association. Since 1967, when he was a student at Saigon University of Science , he joined the Lua Hong Group with musicians Nguyen Xuan Tan, Vu Duc Sao Bien, Mien Duc Thang... and soon affirmed his composing talent.

He is also one of the four musicians who founded the movement "Sing for my people", along with Tran Long An, Truong Quoc Khanh, and Ton That Lap.

In addition to the pen name Nguyen Van Sanh, he also used other pen names such as Vuong Luan, Nguyen La Nghi, and Doan Dinh Giang.

Nguyen Van Sanh is successful in any position.

Since 1975, he has held many positions: Deputy Head of the City Youth Union's Propaganda Department, Head of the Youth Cultural House, Head of the Department of Mass Culture of the Department of Culture and Information, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Cultural Center... In parallel with his management work, he has continuously composed more than 100 copyrighted songs, many of which are about the city and studying and following Uncle Ho.
