According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today's weather forecast (May 30th) in the Southern region is cloudy with hot sunshine during the day; scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the late afternoon and evening.

Specifically, the weather in Ho Chi Minh City is forecast to remain hot and sunny during the day, with maximum temperatures generally ranging from 32 to 35 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures fluctuate between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius. Cloudy skies and a muggy feeling will prevail from noon to early afternoon, especially in the central area and densely populated inner districts.

Towards evening and night, the city is likely to experience scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing moderate to heavy rain. Rain will gradually decrease at night, but there is still a possibility of scattered showers and thunderstorms in some areas, with light winds.

The meteorological agency warns that during thunderstorms, people should be wary of extreme weather phenomena such as tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind that can affect travel and outdoor activities. People should avoid moving under large trees, billboards, or areas prone to flooding when thunderstorms occur.

According to data from the IQAir (AirVisual) air quality monitoring app, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Ho Chi Minh City today was recorded at approximately 77, which is considered average. The concentration of PM2.5 fine particulate matter in the air remains higher than the WHO recommended level.
