Also attending were leaders from the Departments of Construction, Tourism , Foreign Affairs, and Phu Bai International Airport.

During the meeting, Mr. Jin Zhang, Director of Donghai Airlines' Operations Center, provided an overview of the airline's operations and affirmed that Hue has all the necessary conditions and is very suitable for operating the Shenzhen-Hue route and vice versa. In addition, the airline is also considering the possibility of opening a Hong Kong-Hue route in the near future.

Mr. Le Minh Trieu, Director of Phu Bai International Airport, said that the airport has fully prepared to receive and serve international flights and is ready to cooperate with Donghai Airlines in operating the new route. Mr. Trieu also requested the leaders of Hue City to direct relevant departments and agencies to provide support, close coordination, and preferential policies to expedite the launch of the Shenzhen-Hue route, expected in November or December 2025.

Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee, Phan Thien Dinh, agreed with the principle and affirmed that the city will create the most favorable conditions for the flight route to become operational soon. He requested that all parties proactively coordinate, finalize the specific operational plan as soon as possible, and promptly report any difficulties so that the city can direct solutions.

To ensure effectiveness, city leaders suggested that both sides establish a commitment to a minimum flight schedule and stable operating frequency, possibly piloted for 3-6 months with a minimum frequency of 3 flights/week, followed by an evaluation of the results. Simultaneously, they proposed researching flexible pricing policies, revenue-sharing mechanisms, technical support, and ground operations to reduce costs and enhance the passenger experience.

Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Phan Thien Dinh, along with leaders of various departments and agencies, took a commemorative photo with the delegation from Donghai Airlines (China).

The city also encourages both sides to cooperate in developing a two-way tour product between Hue and Shenzhen, co-sponsoring tourism promotion campaigns, and organizing training programs on Chinese language, culture, and electronic payment methods to serve tourists.

Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee, Phan Thien Dinh, expressed his hope that the opening of the Shenzhen-Hue flight route and vice versa would contribute to promoting the image and unique tourism products of Hue, attracting more international tourists, and creating momentum to boost the city's economic and tourism development in the future.
