The highlight of cultural and festive activities in Da Nang during the April 30th and May 1st International Labor Day holidays is the "Opening of Da Nang Beach Tourism Season 2026" program with the theme "Brilliant Summer" at the East Sea Park, Son Tra Peninsula, and the beaches of Phuoc My, My An, My Khe, and Nguyen Tat Thanh.
With nearly 20 outstanding cultural, sports , and tourism activities such as: pizza festival, artistic kite show, water sports demonstrations (flyboard, sailing, jetski, parasailing), international sea rescue competition, Summer Waves Swimming Championship, and Quang Nam Chess King Tournament.
In addition, the series of activities commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Security Force, jointly organized by the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Committee of the city, also left a strong impression.

At APEC Park, the exhibition "80 Years of People's Security - The Silent Shield" displayed over 1,000 documents and artifacts across an area of 3,500 square meters, offering an authentic perspective through spaces simulating historical sites. Particularly noteworthy was the "Peaceful Homeland" Gala Night, which combined multi-layered artistic performances on the Han River, fireworks, and light mapping, creating a visually stunning spectacle for visitors.
Joining in the festive atmosphere, tourist areas and attractions simultaneously launched many new products: Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area with the Sun Festival; Nui Than Tai Hot Spring Park organizing the Animal Actors show; Mikazuki Water Park vibrant with water music; Toom Sara Village offering an authentic Co Tu cultural experience; and La Village with activities such as weaving brocade and making banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes)...
Experiencing the festive atmosphere, Ms. Pham Thi Lien (a tourist from Hai Phong) shared: “Da Nang gives me the feeling of a city that never sleeps. Every time I return, I see new and unique products and events. This is always a top destination for my family.”
Standardized services, ensuring safety for tourists.
According to Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the city, in addition to renewing products, maintaining the brand of a safe and hospitable destination is a key factor in sustaining growth, especially in attracting international tourists from now until the end of the year.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Vu, Head of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang's tourist beaches, said that safety is the top priority at the beaches.
Accordingly, rescue forces are on duty at 100% capacity at key beaches from 4:30 AM to 7:00 PM daily; and also maintain nighttime swimming areas (7:00 PM - 10:00 PM) at Bien Dong Park and My An. The management board has increased the installation of more than 100 warning signs about rip currents and dangerous areas; and erected buoys to mark safe zones. The unit also coordinated with the Australian Lifesaving Association to train rescue teams to improve their skills and promote awareness campaigns on drowning prevention.
Regarding security, Mr. Nguyen Ba Luan (a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) commented: “The beach was very crowded, but my family felt completely safe. Lifeguards were present in many locations, constantly reminding people via handheld loudspeakers and always ready to assist tourists when needed.”
According to Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang city, thanks to a series of attractive events and stimulus programs, the number of visitors to Da Nang during Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, April 30th and May 1st increased by more than 15% compared to the same period in 2015.

Notably, the average occupancy rate across the city reached 60-65%; specifically, 4-5 star hotels achieved 75-80%. From April 25th to May 3rd, the total number of domestic and international flights to Da Nang is estimated at 1,460 (an 11% increase compared to the same period in 2025), averaging 162 flights per day.
To accommodate the large influx of tourists, the tourism industry has focused on training to improve service quality, while also deploying a rapid response team and maintaining a hotline (8899) to provide timely support to visitors. All businesses have committed to strictly adhering to regulations regarding security, environmental hygiene, and food safety.
2,500 cruise ship passengers arrived at Tien Sa port to visit Da Nang.
The Star Voyager cruise ship from China has docked at Tien Sa port, bringing 2,500 international tourists and crew members to visit Da Nang.
During their stay in Da Nang, tourists will visit prominent scenic spots and destinations such as: Marble Mountains, Linh Ung Pagoda - Son Tra Peninsula, Cham Sculpture Museum, Hoi An, My Son, Cam Thanh coconut forest, etc. To ensure the safety of tourists, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has sent a document to relevant units requesting support and coordination in ensuring security and order for cruise ship passengers arriving at the port; deploying functional forces to support and implement tasks to ensure a safe and secure tourism environment, and prevent harassment and soliciting of tourists.
