For many, winter is the most romantic season of the year for beach vacations , the perfect time to experience "healing" travel. Unlike previous years, beach tourism in Thanh Hoa province this winter promises to be more vibrant with a variety of new activities and experiences, offering tourists attractive holidays.
As Thanh Hoa welcomes the cool winds of late autumn, many tourists choose to visit the coastal city of Sam Son. Some discerning beachgoers shared with us that visiting Sam Son in winter is the perfect way to fully experience beach tourism in a spacious, modern setting at the most affordable prices. In particular, the sea in winter, whether in the early morning or at sunset, offers a truly delightful experience. While the scenery might not be the most beautiful during this season, with less intense sunlight and even some fog obscuring the view of the sea, the winter sea provides visitors with unique and interesting perspectives.
Here, visitors can go up to the Doc Cuoc Temple area or the Trong Mai Rock, the Co Tien Temple, and the To Hien Thanh Temple to experience Sam Son with its unique cultural values, completely different from the noisy and bustling summer days. The road leading to this area has winding slopes, with forests on both sides, giving visitors the feeling of being lost in the misty roads of Da Lat.
During the winter months, when the number of beach tourists drops significantly, accommodation prices are quite affordable, making it easy to book 3-5 star rooms. For apartments, villas, and bungalows within the FLC Sam Son resort complex, or resorts in the Hai Tien (Hoang Hoa) and Bai Dong (Nghi Son town) eco-tourism areas, prices generally decrease during this time, with room rates dropping by up to 35%, making it a great time for friends and family to enjoy a unique vacation experience.

This also leads to significantly lower prices for services such as renting tandem bicycles, shopping, and dining. Whether it's Sam Son Beach, Hai Tien Beach, or the beaches in Nghi Son town, visitors can spend time learning about the lives of the local people, participating in squid fishing, or pulling nets and unloading fish and shrimp when the boats return.
Also this winter, for the first time in Hoang Hoa, exciting music and festival programs will take place at Flamingo Ibiza Hai Tien. According to the announced event schedule, from now until the end of the year, many activities will be held here such as: live music shows; buffet food programs; street art performances; fireworks displays; cosplay festivals... along with many other attractive programs in the last days of 2024.
However, to make a beach vacation during the cold winter months more fulfilling and meaningful, tourism businesses advise tourists to check the weather forecast, cultural, sports, and tourism event schedules, information about service providers, and to comply with beach regulations beforehand. In addition, tourists should contact reputable travel agencies to learn more about new tourism products, get advice on itineraries to explore nearby attractions, or participate in city tours for sightseeing and shopping during the year-end season.
