Paragliding in Tri Ton attracts tourists.

Tri Ton commune is blessed by nature with a magnificent mountain range and rare, unspoiled landscapes. Within this picturesque setting, the Ta Pa - Soai Chek area and the majestic Phuong Hoang Son mountain range stand out. The area boasts a unique layered topography, ideal for aerial sports . Recognizing these advantages, in addition to exploiting the potential for ecotourism and traditional culture, the local government also organizes experiential and adventurous sports activities to attract tourists.

Organizing the 2nd Expanded Paragliding Competition "Precise Landing" is a strategic step, concretizing the direction of developing tourism in conjunction with sports. The competition was held at the Ta Pa - Soai Chek Sports and Tourism Area, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Paragliding and Kite Flying Sports Federation and the People's Committee of Tri Ton Commune.

The competition featured 40 athletes from provinces and cities across the country and internationally. The athletes took off from the summit of Phuong Hoang Son mountain, controlling their paragliders to land precisely at the target set in the bull racing arena (part of the Ta Pa - Soai Chek Sports and Tourism Complex). The competition area is considered by experts to be one of the most scenic paragliding spots in Vietnam.

From the hundreds of meters above the ground, paragliders create a magnificent panorama of the landscape and people of Tri Ton. Each flight soaring through the clouds is not only a display of technical skill but also carries a vibrant, visual, and emotionally resonant promotional message about the land and people of this region.

Nguyen Dang Dong, a member of the Saigon Paragliding Club, shared that on his second visit to Tri Ton, he found the area wonderful and picturesque. He believes it's a suitable location for competing in extreme sports, especially paragliding.

Mr. Lam Quang Quy, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Paragliding and Kite Flying Sports Federation and Head of the Organizing Committee, said that in the six consecutive years of organizing paragliding events in Tri Ton, each time he and the pilots have had the opportunity to visit Tri Ton, they have felt the positive changes. Tri Ton commune is becoming more beautiful, with more spacious and well-maintained houses. “The roads are wider, more spacious, and cleaner, and there are more shops and hotels. Travel time from major centers to the locality has also been significantly shortened thanks to the synchronized transportation system. Admiring the mountain scenery, the beautiful and unique architecture of Ta Pa Pagoda, and feeling the rhythm of life of the people of Tri Ton is a delightful experience,” Mr. Quy shared.

Located at the "tourism crossroads" of Soài So - Soài Chek - Tức Dụp, the Soài Chek lake area has great potential for developing diverse and attractive tourism. Therefore, in recent times, in addition to paragliding, Tri Tôn commune has regularly organized many attractive sports activities such as kite flying, marathons, bull racing, along with cultural, artistic, and culinary events. Ms. Hồ Thị Kim Duyên, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tri Tôn commune, said that the locality hopes to continue promoting regional linkages and attracting more large-scale sports and tourism events in the future. The long-term goal is to gradually build Tri Tôn commune into a unique destination in An Giang province in the field of experiential tourism associated with wild nature.

Besides its stunning scenery, Tri Ton commune also captivates visitors with the genuine warmth and hospitality of its people. This further clarifies its reputation as "Tri Ton - the land of festivals."
