The Ca Mau Provincial Police regularly organizes workshops and conferences to disseminate and publicize laws drafted under the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security.
Simultaneously, policy communication efforts have effectively implemented Resolution No. 09 of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security Ministry on continuing to improve the law on security and order until 2026, with a vision to 2030. The Provincial Public Security Department has organized numerous seminars and conferences to gather public opinions, while regularly reviewing, supplementing, and issuing regulations and work procedures, including a handbook of 119 procedures and regulations for uniform application by units and localities.
In particular, the Provincial Police Department has developed and maintained the "Ca Mau Security" program, broadcast regularly on newspapers, radio, television, and the Provincial Police Department's website. Over the past five years, there have been 400 broadcasts, more than 6,000 news articles and reports published, and over 5,000 journalistic works and documentaries produced in collaboration with central and local media agencies. As a result, the image of Ca Mau police officers has been increasingly disseminated, closely associated with Party building, force building, crime prevention and control, and the dissemination of laws to the people.
Innovating policy communication
In the context of rapidly developing digital technology, policy communication faces both many advantages and numerous challenges. The risk of fake news and harmful information on social media overshadowing official information; the phenomenon of social media becoming like a newspaper; and issues related to information security and system safety... all pose new demands on communication orientation and management.
Through policy communication, the enthusiasm and wisdom of the people were mobilized in the 2013 constitutional amendment process via the VNeID application.
To meet this requirement, the Ca Mau Provincial Police Department has determined that it needs to continue innovating and improving the quality of policy communication, focusing on education and raising awareness of the role of this work throughout the entire force. The Director of the Provincial Police Department instructed units and localities to strengthen the innovation of methods, ensuring the following elements: "quick response, sharpness, accuracy, humanity, reliability, and timeliness," in order to promptly critique and guide public opinion.
The provincial police also proactively coordinate closely with press and media agencies, strengthening the provision of official information, resolutely combating and refuting false viewpoints, handling fake news and harmful information, and firmly protecting the ideological foundation of the Party and the policies and laws of the State.
With the determination and efforts of the entire force, the policy communication work in disseminating and educating the public on the law by the Ca Mau Provincial Police will certainly continue to achieve many positive results, contributing to strengthening the people's trust and promoting democracy in building a socialist rule of law state "of the people, by the people, and for the people".
