Faced with that reality, clean water suppliers are actively investing in many important water supply projects, aiming to soon bring clean water to the people.
Eagerly waiting for clean water
Before January 15, 2026, that is, before the Lunar New Year 2026, nearly 1,700 households in Cap Tien area, Tan Minh commune will be able to use clean water for daily life provided by Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company. It is difficult to describe the joy and excitement of the households here after many years of waiting to use clean water to ensure their health.
Mr. Bui The Uy in Quan Bo village (Tan Minh commune) said that he and other families in the village are using water provided by Gia Hung Clean Water Service Cooperative. However, the water quality is not guaranteed, sometimes there is scum and strange smell. The family had to invest in filtering equipment, but after filtering the water twice, they only dare to use it for washing and cleaning. As for drinking water, he still uses rainwater.
Implementing the policy of bringing clean water to the countryside, when the local government mobilized socialized funding to change the water supply area, Mr. Uy's family and other families all agreed and highly supported, hoping that the project would speed up progress so that they could use clean water as soon as possible.
Chairman of Tan Minh Commune People's Committee Dinh Van Nhanh said that from July 1, 2025, Tan Minh Commune was established on the basis of Cap Tien, Kien Thiet, Doan Lap and Tan Minh communes of the old Tien Lang district. There are 5 small water plants in the commune. However, the above plants currently do not meet both the reserve and quality requirements. Implementing the city's policy of bringing clean water to rural areas, Tan Minh Commune actively implemented the process to transfer the water supply area from small water plants to units with sufficient capacity to provide water that meets the standards for serving the people. Up to now, the Cap Tien area, supplied by Gia Hung Clean Water Service Cooperative, has completed the transfer of the water supply area to Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company.
From October 10, 2025, Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company invested over 30 billion VND to implement the project of installing a clean water supply pipeline system in the Cap Tien area. The company invested 37.5 km of the main axis and the entire service pipeline network. Currently, the project is being constructed ahead of schedule, expected to complete supplying water to the people 1 month earlier than planned.
Like the people of Cap Tien (Tan Minh commune), previously, thanks to the efforts and active participation of the local Party Committee, government and especially Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company, the people of Dong Phuong (Kien Minh commune) and Ngu Phuc (Nghi Duong commune) have enjoyed and used clean water that meets standards, no longer worrying about poor quality domestic water. "Clean water to the commune" is the desire of the people of many communes in the city, especially in remote areas. Besides objective difficulties, the most current problem is mobilizing the owners of small water plants to liquidate, transfer the plants, and hand over the water supply area to new, capable units.
Investment in expanding water supply areas
Access to clean water is a legitimate need of the people. In response to the above reality, implementing Resolution 15 of the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong City Party Committee on solutions to ensure clean water supply in rural areas, Party committees, authorities of communes and clean water suppliers are making efforts to deploy many solutions to remove obstacles and soon bring clean water to the people.
As the city's main clean water supplier, in recent years, Hai Phong Water Supply Joint Stock Company has actively coordinated with local Party committees and authorities to remove obstacles, improve production capacity, improve service quality, and expand the scope of water supply, especially in suburban and island areas according to the city's assigned tasks. In the past 5 years, the company has implemented many important water supply projects, bringing clean water to people in remote suburban areas such as: building the D400 pipeline supplying the western area of the old Tien Lang district on district road 25 and provincial road 354; the D400 pipeline on provincial road 354 from Minh Duc bridge to Doan Lap intersection... supplying water to industrial parks and clusters in the old Tien Lang district; water supply project in Ngu Phuc and Dong Phuong communes (old Kien Thuy district); water supply project in Cap Tien area, Tan Minh commune today...
In the western region, Hai Duong Clean Water Trading Joint Stock Company is implementing many projects to upgrade water supply pipelines and transmission lines with a total investment of about 30 billion VND, expected to be completed this year, such as increasing the capacity of the booster pump station in the Ghe bridge area from 20,000 m³/day and night to 35,000 m³/day and night; building a new clean water transmission pipeline with a diameter of D560 and a length of 800 m from Ghe bridge to Phuc Dien industrial park... The investment will improve capacity and service quality, meeting the increasing demand for clean water of people and businesses.
With the drastic participation of the commune authorities and the support of key units providing clean water in the city, the problem of bringing clean water to the communes, especially the remote communes of the city, will be gradually solved. Thereby, contributing to the completion and improvement of the quality of criteria for building a new model rural area, improving the quality of life of suburban residents.
