Journalist Vo Huynh Tan Tai - the creator of the TVFACE format, The TVFACE University 2026 version - has designed it as a practical career journey for students. Young people will access a multi-platform content creation environment, modern media thinking, and activities connected with community values.
Candidates participated in two parts of the competition: self-introduction and personal presentation, with three main themes: hometown, Ho Chi Minh City, and university lecture hall. Instead of simply showcasing their presentation skills or public speaking abilities, many candidates chose to tell stories related to their personal experiences to express their perspective, emotions, and ability to connect with the audience.
Many presentations revolved around the loneliness of students living far from home, the feeling of uncertainty when first moving to the city to study, peer pressure, or the journey of adapting to the university environment. Some candidates shared their aspirations to prove themselves in Ho Chi Minh City, while others chose to talk about their hometowns as a part of their memories and motivation for pursuing their studies.
Students also mentioned their desire to use their voices and communication skills to spread positive messages in the community, ranging from issues relevant to young people to a proactive, responsible, and connected lifestyle.
Many of the competition entries showed a shift in students' approach to public speaking, combining presentation skills with a mindset focused on producing digital content such as storytelling, podcasts, vlogs, or building a personal brand on social media. Some candidates chose to present content closer to short videos , telling stories through experience or addressing social issues from a young person's perspective.
The TVFACE University 2026 is the student version of the TVFACE project, jointly implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnamese Student Association. The program aims to find young talents who love hosting, media, and creating digital content.
Following the selection round, 30 outstanding candidates will enter the intensive training and challenge phase of The TVFACE University 2026.
