According to Box Office Vietnam statistics, director Duc Thinh's film "Trùm Sò" officially left theaters on the morning of May 29th. The film recorded a revenue of over 17.5 billion VND .

With the aforementioned revenue, director Duc Thinh and producer Thanh Thuy are said to have suffered losses of tens of billions of VND. In a previous interview with Tri Thuc - Znews , Duc Thinh shared that the film needed 80 billion VND to break even.

Meanwhile, the producer said she had faith in the project and her husband's skills. However, her only regret was the lack of success in sales and marketing.

"We are not being complacent. Everyone knows that besides product quality, marketing, sales, management, operation, and work control are equally important for the success of a project. We need to learn a lot from this project, especially in terms of marketing," Thanh Thúy said.

Returning to the Vietnamese box office, currently the only Vietnamese film in the top 5 of the daily box office rankings is "Borrowed Shells" (by Dinh Tuan Vu). The film is recording over 1,200 screenings per day and 5,600 tickets sold. However, the quality of the project has received mixed reviews. Other projects such as "Underworld Beauty Salon" or "A Time We Loved" have not been well-received by audiences. In particular, "A Time We Loved" by Nguyen Xuan Nghia has been lackluster with a revenue of over 1.9 billion VND. The film features a large cast of stars including Quoc Truong, Thanh Loc, Le Khanh, Quoc Huy...

Leading the domestic box office in recent days is still Doraemon: Nobita and the Castle Under the Sea (Doraemon Movie 45). This animated film has been a sensation in Vietnamese theaters since its release, currently raking in over 122 billion VND .
