Stop piloting food stall business

According to the report of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches, in the period from March 2012 to March 2013, to encourage the development of tourism services in some beach areas serving residents and tourists, the People's Committee of Da Nang City agreed in principle to allow the pilot implementation of 10 food and souvenir stalls in the East Sea Park area and the South of My Hanh Restaurant in Phuoc My Ward, Son Tra District.

With this policy, businesses and individuals participating in the pilot implementation of 10 food and souvenir stalls were exempted from renting business premises during the pilot implementation period because at that time there were no legal regulations on the exploitation and use of public assets in the beach area.

Organizations and individuals participating in the pilot implementation of 10 food and souvenir stalls signed a commitment to the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches with the following content: "...self-dismantle the stalls and hand over the premises to the Management Board within 30 days from the date of receipt of the Management Board's notice, if: ... Da Nang City People's Committee has a document to reclaim the premises or move to another location...".

After the city's pilot policy, the Management Board handed over the premises to individuals and businesses that registered to participate in the pilot to design and install booths and carry out business activities. These businesses and individuals have been exempted from using the business premises (75m2 each) for more than 12 years (March 2012 - September 2024).

On May 8, 2024, the People's Committee of Da Nang City issued Official Letter No. 2402, requesting to terminate the pilot operation of the above mentioned food and souvenir stalls. At the same time, the Department of Tourism was assigned to direct the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches to organize the auction according to the approved plan.
