The race attracted nearly 300 athletes, including officials, civil servants, residents of Long Phieng commune, sports clubs, and tourists. Athletes competed in a 7km race for both men and women. The route started from the Long Phieng Commune People's Committee headquarters, passing through central roads and orchards of ripening plums. In the cool, fresh air, the athletes competed with enthusiasm and determination. The enthusiastic cheers of the people along the route further motivated the athletes to complete the race.

At the end of the competition, the organizing committee awarded 2 first prizes, 2 second prizes, and 2 third prizes to individuals who achieved outstanding results in the men's and women's categories.

The "Borderland Run" contributes to spreading the movement of physical training and sports, while also promoting the natural landscape and image of the Long Phieng plum growing region to tourists from near and far.
