On May 24th, Ho Chi Minh City's Book Street continued to make its mark on the international map when it was awarded a prize by the International Union of Architects (UIA) in the UIA 2030 Award program, organized in collaboration with UN-Habitat. This award honors architectural works that contribute to the United Nations' sustainable development goals by 2030.

According to UIA, the award is held every two years for architectural projects worldwide that demonstrate outstanding design quality and have a positive impact on one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Ho Chi Minh City's Book Street was named in the "Access to Green and Public Spaces" category. The judging panel assessed it as a sustainable model of community cultural space, contributing to promoting reading culture, developing a humane urban environment, and increasing community connectivity in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City.

A representative from the organization stated that they are proud to be involved in numerous large-scale projects from countries around the world. This also marks a significant milestone in the development of this cultural space after nearly a decade of operation.

Operating since 2016, Ho Chi Minh City Book Street has received a total of 5 awards, including 4 international awards and one domestic award. On this occasion, the organizers would like to express their gratitude to readers, tourists, and partners who have accompanied and supported them.
