Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Manchester City received a transfer fee of 13-14 million euros for Ederson. The Brazilian goalkeeper himself has also agreed to terms to join Fenerbahce, through his agent Jorge Mendes and Sporting Director Devin Ozek.
In the 2025/26 season, Ederson was dropped from Manchester City's starting lineup and given the opportunity to find a new club over the past few months. Manager Pep Guardiola has opted to use James Trafford in the opening three Premier League matches this year.
Ederson had a successful career at Man City, winning 6 Premier League titles and 1 Champions League. In the 2024/25 season, he played 40 games in all competitions, keeping 13 clean sheets but conceding 54 goals.
Ederson's departure opens up an opportunity for Man City to sign goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma from PSG. According to Football Italia , Man City are willing to spend around 30 million euros to secure the signature of Donnarumma, who has been left out of PSG's squad this season by coach Luis Enrique.
Donnarumma had already reached a personal agreement with Man City. Fans at the Etihad Stadium were very excited about the prospect of the Italian international becoming the team's starting goalkeeper from this season.
