Ericsson Vietnam has a new director.

With over 14 years of experience at Ericsson in both regional and global leadership roles, Rita has demonstrated expertise in general management, strategy development, sales, business development, operations management, and technology consulting. She has successfully collaborated with diverse stakeholders, including communications service providers, governments , and businesses across continents, each with its own unique challenges and needs.

Ms. Rita Mokbel has officially been appointed as the Director of Ericsson Vietnam.

Commenting on her appointment, Rita Mokbel said: "I am delighted to take on the role of leading our talented team and working with mobile service providers in Vietnam to ensure that the country remains at the forefront of 5G development, as well as sharing our technical capabilities and deep insights into the global, regional and local markets. We will leverage Ericsson's technological leadership to contribute to Vietnam's technological progress and economic growth."

Rita holds a PhD in Financial Engineering , a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering , and a second Master's degree in Computer Modeling and Simulation . She also holds executive program certifications from globally renowned institutions such as Oxford and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), with specializations in Financial Technology and Artificial Intelligence .

Rita is also a member of Rise Tide Europe and Seeders, LWAF, a group of angel investors with a mission to foster innovation and strengthen the startup ecosystem.

Ericsson has supported service providers in Vietnam through commercial 5G pilot programs since 2020, leveraging its technological leadership to deliver world-class experiences to consumers on expanded 4G base stations – capable of seamlessly and efficiently upgrading to 5G capabilities when needed. Ericsson's 5G solution portfolio can significantly reduce costs and energy consumption per gigabyte transmitted.
