The FBI has just issued a warning about an extremely sophisticated shipping scam. Fraudsters send random packages to victims to create fake reviews on e-commerce platforms.
The danger lies in the QR code cleverly embedded inside the package. Simply scanning the code can lead victims to a fake website, asking them to provide personal and financial information.
Hackers can drain money from credit cards, bank accounts or e-wallets in silence. These packages often have no return address, preying on the recipient's curiosity. The FBI recommends never scanning QR codes from unknown sources and controlling access rights when installing applications.
Security experts warn that this trick could spread globally, with Vietnam also a potential target. Readers are invited to watch more videos : Iris scanning tool to verify human identity | VTV24
