The FBI has just issued a warning about an extremely sophisticated shipping scam. Scammers send random packages to victims to create fake reviews on e-commerce platforms.
The danger lies in the QR code cleverly embedded inside the package.
By simply scanning the code, victims can be directed to a fake website, where they are asked to provide personal and financial information.
Hackers can silently drain money from credit cards, bank accounts, or digital wallets. These packages often lack a return address, playing on the recipient's curiosity. The FBI strongly advises against scanning QR codes from unknown sources and recommends controlling access permissions when installing apps.
Security experts warn that this tactic could spread globally, with Vietnam also being a potential target. Readers are invited to watch the following video : Iris scanning tool to verify human identity | VTV24
