Gala "Outstanding Achievements"

On the evening of January 20th, at the Muong Thanh Hotel, Tuyen Quang Newspaper organized the Gala program "Outstanding Milestones". The program was broadcast live on Tuyen Quang Newspaper Online, its Fanpage, and YouTube channel.

Attending the program were Associate Professor Dr. Do Thi Thu Hang, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Professional Affairs Department of the Vietnam Journalists Association ; members of the Provincial Party Committee, representatives of the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee's departments, agencies, units, businesses, leaders of districts and cities; provincial press agencies, central press agencies with offices in Tuyen Quang; staff and reporters of Tuyen Quang Newspaper, along with 16 exemplary individuals who inspired in 2023.

The "Outstanding Achievements" Gala program consists of three parts. Part 1, "Inspiring People," features stories and shared experiences from exemplary individuals who consistently strive to contribute to society. Many of these individuals undertake challenging tasks, dare to face difficulties and obstacles, and actively contribute to building their homeland. Part 2, "Compassionate Hearts," showcases the stories of organizations and individuals who dedicate themselves to charitable activities for the community, upholding the spirit of mutual support and compassion.

In particular, over the past period, Tuyen Quang Newspaper has also made a significant contribution to the humanitarian journey, connecting businesses and philanthropists to help those in difficult circumstances rise up in life. Part 3, "The Journey of Dreams," tells the story of individuals who continuously preserve, protect, and promote the fine traditional values ​​of the nation.

These are the stories of an electrical engineer passionate about folklore; the journey of a mountain boy who brought home a gold medal in Southeast Asian wrestling for his country; or a teacher suffering from a terminal illness who still wholeheartedly dedicates herself to the education of her province...

Speaking at the event, Comrade Mai Duc Thong, Editor-in-Chief of Tuyen Quang Newspaper, affirmed that not only do journalists perform their professional duties well, but they also clearly understand the social role and responsibility of the press agency, thereby connecting philanthropists and businesses inside and outside the province. In 2023, through the "Bridge of Compassion" column, Tuyen Quang Newspaper mobilized support for 35 disadvantaged cases with a total amount of over 3.7 billion VND. This was also the first year that Tuyen Quang Newspaper successfully organized the "Mid-Autumn Festival of Love" program, with nearly 1,000 gifts and scholarships awarded to disadvantaged children in mountainous, remote, and rural areas. The "Outstanding Milestones" Gala program is an opportunity for everyone to look back at the results of a year of hard work and effort by the Tuyen Quang Newspaper team and to express gratitude to individuals, groups, and readers who have accompanied the newspaper throughout the past year.
