Recently, the tech community was abuzz when information about the Galaxy S26 FE unexpectedly appeared on the Geekbench database. Although the website quickly removed the information afterward, the device's core specifications had already spread widely, revealing a close look at the upcoming flagship model from the South Korean giant.
Galaxy S26 FE specifications leaked on Geekbench
The most notable highlight in this leak is that the Galaxy S26 FE will be equipped with the Exynos 2500 chipset. This chip is manufactured using Samsung's most advanced 3nm process, promising superior performance and better power efficiency compared to its predecessor.

Leaked specifications for the Exynos 2500 processor, believed to be for the Galaxy S26 FE, have surfaced.

Although the FE segment is usually positioned below the standard S series, with the addition of the Exynos 2500 (a chip previously found in the Z Flip7), the power gap between the Fan Edition and the premium version seems to be narrowing.
In contrast to the chip upgrade, the RAM capacity on the S26 FE is expected to remain unchanged compared to its predecessor. Given the increasing resource-intensive nature of AI (artificial intelligence) applications, maintaining the same RAM level might leave some users feeling unsatisfied. However, analysts believe this is a necessary step for Samsung to control production costs amidst rapidly rising hardware component prices.
One encouraging detail is that the Galaxy S26 FE will almost certainly ship with Android 17. This means users will get to experience the latest software features and receive long-term support from Samsung.
The biggest question now remains the price. With the S26 series having seen a slight price increase in many markets, will the FE version maintain its position as a reasonably priced phone, or will it continue to set a new, higher price point? The Galaxy S26 FE is expected to be officially launched in the second half of this year, building on the success of the Fan Edition series.
