Nearly 1,200 athletes participate in the 11th Phu Dong Sports Festival of Vinh Linh district

This morning, March 4, Vinh Linh district held the opening ceremony of the 11th Phu Dong Sports Festival - 2024 with the participation of nearly 1,200 athletes who are students from 29 primary, primary & secondary schools and ethnic boarding schools in the area.

To prepare well for this Phu Dong Sports Festival, schools have quickly implemented selection plans, established teams and actively practiced to achieve the best results.

At this event, nearly 1,200 athletes will compete in 7 sports with 41 events. In addition to individual events, the competition program also includes many team events to help students build a sense of teamwork, coordinate smoothly, and maximize collective strength.

It is expected that the Organizing Committee will award 668 individual prizes, 45 team prizes and 10 group prizes to outstanding groups and individuals.

Phu Dong Sports Festival is not only a useful playground for students to compete, but also an opportunity for Vinh Linh district to discover and nurture high-performance athletes to participate in the provincial Phu Dong Sports Festival in the coming time.
