(Chinhphu.vn) - On the afternoon of May 18th in Hanoi, the Vietnam Chemical Corporation (Vinachem) held a conference to review one year of operation of the VinachemMart e-commerce platform, and officially introduced the Vinachem Agriculture Platform, a new step in the Corporation's digital transformation and green transformation strategy.

In his opening remarks at the conference, Vinachem General Director Nguyen Huu Tu said that organizing the program on the occasion of Vietnam Science and Technology Day on May 18th has special significance, demonstrating the Group's determination to use science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the foundation for sustainable growth.

After more than a year of operation, VinachemMart has achieved results exceeding expectations, with revenue reaching approximately 52 billion VND, more than 10 times the initial target. The platform currently has over 52,000 registered accounts and nearly 26,000 successful orders, focusing on key product groups such as fertilizers, batteries, tires, detergents, and consumer chemicals.

Beyond expanding sales, VinachemMart is also gradually shaping the e-commerce model for the chemical industry in Vietnam. The platform has integrated numerous technological solutions such as electronic payment, QR codes for each order, connections with shipping companies, online promotional tools, a personalized voucher library, and a chatbot to support customers.

Launching a digital platform to support farmers.

The highlight of the conference was the launch of the Vinachem Agriculture Platform, a model developed by Vinachem as a non-profit organization to support farmers in accessing scientific knowledge, cultivation techniques, and official agricultural information. Unlike conventional commercial platforms, Vinachem Agriculture is developed as an open space connecting scientists, experts, businesses, media outlets, and farmers to disseminate knowledge, share production experiences, and promote green, modern, and sustainable agriculture.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Finance Cao Anh Tuan highly appreciated Vinachem's digital transformation orientation, stating that VinachemMart and Vinachem Agriculture are not simply e-commerce programs but reflect a new direction for state-owned enterprises in innovating growth models, management methods, and serving the people. Deputy Minister Cao Anh Tuan emphasized: " Resolution 57 requires enterprises to undergo substantive transformation, through products, data, efficiency, and concrete benefits for the people and businesses . "

Representing the distributors partnering with Vinachem, Mr. Tran Van Thu, General Director of Thai Nguyen Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Company, stated that the most noteworthy aspect of the Vinachem Agriculture platform is its focus on building a transparent and official information channel for farmers, rather than simply introducing products. According to him, applying a digital platform to help people correctly identify products, access the right techniques, and connect directly with experts is a crucial direction for agriculture today.

Mr. Phung Quang Hiep, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Chemical Corporation (Vinachem), affirmed that Vinachem will continue to promote innovation, apply science and technology, develop a digital ecosystem, and promote green transformation throughout the chemical industry.

Within the framework of the conference, Vinachem signed cooperation agreements with partners to implement the Vinachem Agriculture Platform; signed cooperation agreements between the Chemical Science and Technology Information Center and 12 member units of the Group to operate the Vinachem Agriculture Platform; and introduced experts to accompany the Vinachem Agriculture Platform.
