Being closer to the people allows for better care.

Cadres and Party members of the Fatherland Front's member organizations in Binh My commune closely monitor the grassroots level, supporting people with everything from loan capital to administrative procedures. These concrete actions have significantly improved people's lives and built trust in the local Fatherland Front system.

People's trust

Visiting Ms. Nguyen Thi Tim in Binh Hoa hamlet, we were warmly welcomed. As a member of the Women's Union of Binh My commune, Ms. Tim has actively participated in various models supporting women in economic development and family building for many years. “Before, my family was very poor. My two children and I didn't know where to turn for a living. With the support of the Women's Union, I opened a beverage stall. Thanks to that, my family's life has gradually stabilized, and we have the means to provide for my children's education,” Ms. Tim recounted.

When her children entered university, Mrs. Tim was once again burdened with financial worries. The Women's Union of the commune and the leaders of Binh Hoa hamlet visited and assisted her in obtaining a student loan from the Social Policy Bank. “Thanks to that loan and my own savings, I was able to provide for my children's education. Now they all have stable jobs and comfortable lives. I am very grateful to the Women's Union officials and the local government!” Mrs. Tim said emotionally.

Ms. Duong Thi Hong Nhi, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh My commune and Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Binh My commune, said: “We believe that being close to and listening to the thoughts and aspirations of the people is the basis for successfully fulfilling our tasks, striving to take good care of the lives of our members, and encouraging women to enthusiastically start businesses. In 2026, we will encourage women to participate in building "digital families," developing revolving capital groups, and supporting the construction of new homes for disadvantaged members.”

According to Ms. Nhi, thanks to close ties with members, the models implemented by the Women's Union of the commune are always practical and contribute to strengthening people's trust in the Front system within the two-tiered local government model.

Get close to the people to understand them.

Not only the Women's Union, but other mass organizations in Binh My commune have also developed many models to support people at the grassroots level. The Binh My Commune Youth Union implemented a model to help people access digital technology after the administrative unit merger. Mr. Trang Do Bao Tung - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, Secretary of the Binh My Commune Youth Union, informed: “Clearly recognizing the role of the Youth Union in the new government model, we determined that we must closely follow the actual needs of the people. Accordingly, we organized two volunteer teams to support people in carrying out administrative procedures at the Commune Public Administrative Service Center, helping to reduce the pressure on local officials and save time for the people.”

In the coming time, the Binh My Commune Youth Union will continue to implement the model of supporting administrative procedures in residential areas. “We assign Youth Union members and young people to be on duty at the hamlet office to assist people with basic procedures. When we go to the field, we become more mature and better promote the pioneering role of youth in the Fatherland Front system, contributing to better care for the lives of the people,” said Tung.

Ms. Phan Thi Xuan Mai, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh My commune, said: “The member organizations of the Fatherland Front in the commune all have practical models focused on the grassroots. What is valuable is that we have the trust and support of the people. I believe that Fatherland Front officials must be close to the people to understand them, and only then can they fulfill their responsibilities well.”

In 2026, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune will continue to mobilize social resources to build 15 new houses for disadvantaged households, with an estimated cost of 1 billion VND. The unit will advise the Commune Party Committee to organize dialogues between the heads of the Party Committee and the government with the Khmer community in Binh Trung and Binh Hung hamlets to promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles for the people. “We require member organizations to actively promote their roles, listen to the thoughts and aspirations of the people, and promptly report them to the local Party Committee and government. At the same time, we will continue to mobilize the people's strength to care for the people and strive to build Binh My into a new rural commune,” said Ms. Phan Thi Xuan Mai.
