Linking student recruitment with job placement.

Linking student recruitment and training with employment is an inevitable trend aimed at thoroughly addressing the "mismatch" between theory and practice in the labor market. To achieve effectiveness, educational institutions are striving to establish a synchronized series of solutions: coordinating with businesses in all stages of training, strengthening the role of businesses in "ordering" services, implementing "business semesters," and creating a bridge between students and businesses...

Linking student recruitment with job placement.

Students from Hong Duc University seek job opportunities at the booths of businesses during the 2026 Job Fair.

Over the past period, higher education and vocational training institutions in the province have actively coordinated with the Provincial Business Association, the Thanh Hoa Employment Service Center, and employers to organize job fairs, career guidance events, and job counseling and placement services for students. This serves as an important bridge between schools, employers, and students.

With a philosophy of education that focuses not only on graduation but also on enabling students to be job-ready and thrive in real-world environments, Hong Duc University always considers the partnership with businesses as a key factor.

Associate Professor Dr. Le Hoang Ba Huyen, Rector of Hong Duc University, shared: "The university's core objective is to train human resources with practical skills, adaptability, and sustainable development in the real working environment. Therefore, we always consider businesses as strategic partners throughout the training process, not simply as recruitment agencies. The university is committed to continuously innovating its training programs to meet market demands, focusing on improving students' practical professional skills, and expanding comprehensive cooperation with businesses in many fields."

The Thanh Hoa branch of Hanoi Medical University is also one of the units actively organizing job fairs, helping students access job opportunities, while supporting medical facilities and businesses in finding and recruiting suitable human resources. This is also an opportunity to strengthen the connection between the university and employers, contributing to improving the quality of training and meeting the development requirements of the health sector in the new era.

Mr. Le Van Cuong, Director of the Thanh Hoa Department of Health and Deputy Director of the Hanoi Medical University Branch in Thanh Hoa, shared: “Currently, the health sector is facing many new development requirements as the Party and State pay special attention to the protection, care, and improvement of people's health through many strategic and long-term policies and resolutions. In particular, the Politburo has issued Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW, which emphasizes the need to develop high-quality medical human resources, promote digital transformation, improve the capacity of grassroots healthcare, and build a modern, equitable, and efficient healthcare system. In addition, major policies on educational reform, scientific and technological development, national digital transformation, and private sector development also open up many opportunities for cooperation between schools, hospitals, and businesses. This places demands on medical human resources not only to be professionally competent but also to quickly adapt to new technologies and possess professional skills.” Communication skills and a spirit of innovation and creativity. The career fair, counseling, and job placement event organized by the school will be a meaningful opportunity for healthcare facilities and students to meet and exchange information, helping students gain more information, guidance, and make suitable choices for their future careers.”

From the business perspective, Ms. Vu Thi Ngoc Ha, Deputy General Director of Hong Duc Educational Equipment Joint Stock Company, stated: “We are gradually applying AI to our business and management operations to improve decision-making efficiency; investing in modern machinery and production technology to optimize productivity and product quality; and, more importantly, building a work environment where people and technology develop together. Therefore, we believe that the connection between schools and businesses is not just about connecting job opportunities, but also about connecting mindsets, orientations, and the future.”

In the context of science, technology, and digital transformation changing the traditional labor market, businesses need not only people with degrees but also those with expertise, adaptability, responsibility, and a willingness to innovate. Degrees help students get through the first door, but attitude, skills, creative thinking, and discipline are what enable them to go the distance.

Hoang Nguyen Vu, a K25 student from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Hong Duc University, said: “Participating in the job fair organized by the university gave me the opportunity to directly interact with the businesses I wanted to intern at, to learn about internship conditions, practice communication and application skills, and understand career trends, thus finding job opportunities after graduation.”

Efforts are being made to link student recruitment with employment to thoroughly address the employment problem. To achieve this, the key solution is "dual training," combining theoretical learning with practical experience at businesses; adjusting curricula according to specific needs; and establishing a network to directly connect labor supply and demand.
