Today, February 23rd, the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts held a meeting for artists and writers to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Dragon - 2024. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Dang Quang; and the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Hoang Nam, attended the event.

Speaking at the meeting, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Dang Quang, praised and congratulated the efforts and contributions of the artists and writers in actively contributing to the overall development of the province in recent times.
To create the best environment for artists and writers to work and produce many valuable works of art and literature, the Provincial Association of Arts and Literature needs to continue to innovate its content and methods of operation, focusing on reforming organizational and personnel work; training and rejuvenating the team, improving work thinking, and paying attention to recruiting new members.
Research and incorporate feedback from artists and writers to gradually improve the quality of artistic and literary works, creating outstanding and lasting masterpieces. Participate in the creation and widespread, effective promotion of festivals and commemorations of major national holidays in 2024, especially the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory on May 7th (1954-2024); the Festival for Peace ; and activities commemorating the 70th anniversary of Vinh Linh's traditions on August 25th (1954-2024). All levels and sectors should create favorable conditions for the activities of the Provincial Association of Arts and Literature and its artists in their creative work.

Closely following the province's socio-economic development tasks, in 2023, the Association of Literature and Arts organized many outstanding and effective activities such as: focusing on reviewing the first half of the term implementing the Action Program of the Association's Party Committee to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the 13th Provincial Party Congress.
Attention should be paid to reviewing and supplementing the working regulations of the executive committee, standing committee, party group, associations, specialized committees, inspection committee, and art council to ensure more orderly and effective operation.
Advising the Provincial People's Committee on the successful organization of the songwriting competition about Quang Tri; the 29th Art Photography Festival of 6 North Central provinces; organizing creative camps and foreign relations activities; scientific seminars; and the commemoration of the traditional day of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations and its specialized branches.
Many members of the association have also strived to create high-quality works that clearly reflect the changes and innovations of their homeland and country.

Regarding the direction and tasks for 2023, the Provincial Association of Literature and Arts has set out 12 key tasks. These include encouraging members and the public to participate in the literary and artistic creation contest with the theme: "Studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh" for the period 2023-2025 (phase 2). Focus will also be placed on creating and promoting works related to important national and local holidays and events.
Continue to coordinate with departments, agencies, and districts, towns, and cities to organize arts and culture workshops; coordinate with functional units of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam Union of Arts and Culture Associations to organize workshops and professional training for members. Cua Viet Magazine will continue to improve the quality of its content and format. Focus on implementing the digital transformation strategy and launching an electronic magazine.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 2 collectives and 2 individuals for their outstanding achievements in 2023; the title of Provincial-level Emulation Soldier to 1 individual for outstanding achievements from 2020-2022; and presented the Quang Tri Provincial Literature and Arts Award 2023.

The Central Steering Committee for the Award for the creation and promotion of literary, artistic, and journalistic works on the theme of studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh awarded certificates to the winning authors of the competition "Studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh" for the period 2021-2023... The Provincial Association of Literature and Arts admitted 9 new members and accepted members to participate in activities at the Quang Tri Association of Literature and Arts.
